I hate to say it, but Patriots. The Rams are explosive but when they face a good team they almost always fall short. Let’s face it, they fell short last week if two things didn’t happen: Sean Payton threw the ball at the end of the 4th quarter rather than running the ball and killing the clock giving the Rams a chance to come back, and then the refs bailed them out of a certain loss. Another “Rams destroy mediocre teams but struggle against good teams” story. The Patriots are a good team.

The boys doubted me. But I made it from LA to the Big Game. Yes, I do have a navel. And mine does not have frostbite. Yet, I am never referred to as Belly button girl. Pour Quoi?

There were at least nine blatantly missed calls in that game alone - seven of them would have been against the Rams. This by a crew of refs with four from Southern California threatened by petitions in the area to cost them their livelihood because they had been calling against the Rams. The crew, or at least the group of four, is incompetent and should never have been reffing an important game.

This doesn’t even count the calls not made that were purely judgement. The officiating in the league seems to be going in the same direction as the moral character of the majority of the players.

Ok well I yield to your knowledge since I did not watch that game. Sounds horrible.
I was only referring to the more general tendency for people to focus upon one call they don’t like, but this situation sounds way over the top.

My solution to chronic bad calls is to declare that any referee who makes a blatantly bad call (subject to review) will be automatically assigned next season to work all Green Bay and Chicago home games for the entire season.
