Democrats getting their way on Immigration is the end of America. They will have full soviet union style monopoly on all government power in ten years or less.

The real concern I have is who is actually negotiating for him with the same firm intention that there has to be a wall/barrier. He has to have someone on the Hill fighting this fight the same way he is.
He should have declared the emergency in exchange for opening government again. He could have said the shutdown adds to the emergency. It was a lost opportunity.

With all due respect, if he declares an emergency the declaration will be challenged in court and an injunction will be issued. There will be no resolution on the injunction until after November of 2020 at which point it will no longer matter.

... and with all the leadup from all the news networks for this Rose Garden update, we just saw our Prez talk to EVERYONE in the country precisely about the one thing Treacherous-hag Pelosi did not want...
It was almost as good as a SOTU. Heck, this was BETTER than a SOTU!!! because...
(A) He got to talk to the We the People about the one most important thing the dhimmicrats want to defeat him and screw us on (immigration and border security), and...
(B) the dhimmicrats - since this wasn’t an official SOTU - did not and could NOT have a RESPONSE!!!
In other words, the entire American Public saw the narrative - completely and without refutation from the disloyal left - defined by PRESIDENT TRUMP!
2) Yesterday Schumer and the democrats voted down a bill to pay the Coast Guard. The COAST GUARD!!! Despite having gone without pay for 3 weeks.
Over the past few weeks, the American public has come to learn that my USCG brethren (ok, ours, but I’m a retired Coastie...) - because they’re not DoD (they’re DHS) - have NOT been paid for 35 days. The same Coast Guard that has saved thousands of lives in recent Weather Disasters, and has been lauded so strongly by our Prez. The same Coast Guard that - unlike TSA - has NOT called in sick but instead, like my Semper Paratus brothers and sisters they are, continued the mission.
... democrats voted against that. That’s like saying democrats voted against America.
And today, with this temp re-opening, my Coastie brothers and sisters will have relief from the economic hardships imposed upon them by democrats... and our Prez can be given CREDIT for this achievement!
In summary, the Prez has the upper hand, and continues to win. The country saw this, heard this, and didn’t see or hear a dhimmicrat refutation/response. Best part of all... the People heard very clearly, “if this doesn’t get done in the next few weeks and the government shuts down again, I WILL use National Emergency Authority to get it done!”

No one here has even half a clue what's going on behind the scenes of this fustercluck, but of one thing I'm sure - Donald Trump has shown courage enough these past two years to earn my trust for the next two/six.
