BAby sitter for husband.

My wife leaves every year for a month or two to visit family overseas. I feel she should hire someone to do her job while she is not here. You know cook, clean, laundry, cuddle, scoop out the chicken house, give the dogs a bath, the important stuff.
Why should I have to do all my work and hers too just because she goes on vacation for a month or more? What are your feelings about this?

My cousin has two tickets for the 2019 SUPER BOWL, both box seats. He paid $2,500 each ticket, but he didn’t realize last year when he bought them, it was going to be on the same day as his wedding. If you are interested, he is looking for someone to take his place.
It’s at Temple of God Church, in Lexington at 3pm. Her name is Jessica, she’s 5’4, about 140 lbs, and a good cook too. She’ll be the one in the white dress.

This is my story:
I was once a feminist who thought marriage was a 50-50% deal. Then....I had a long and debilitating illness. I learned the hard way that marriage is 100%-100%!
My white knight of a husband came home from work each night and made the meals for our 3 preschoolers, bathed them, read to them, and put them to bed each night. He bought the groceries, did the wash, and did the best he could to keep the house somewhat clean. He never complained. Not once.
I am ashamed that I was ever so selfish. I married the best man in the world.

One more thing:
Simplify your life. That will help both of you.
Remember! Every object that you bring into your life needs to be managed and that takes time and energy.

With the exception of cooking, leave all the important stuff for her to do when she gets home.

I think you are right on track here.
Just ignore those statements that come in the mail for the new life insurance policies that she took out on you.
Those have to just be a coincidence.

Fortunately, in my marriage, we have a strict policy regarding our respective duties.
She handles the mundane, quotidian decisions such as where we live, whether we buy or sell a house, where our kids go to school, etc.,
I, as the man, am in charge of the big, important things, such as how we should feel about the situation in the Middle East, whether or not we should embrace post-modernism, etc.

So sorry dude.
No one can understand what that’s like, all I can tell them is one day everything changes and you know it is never changing back.

I have noticed that no one felt sorry for me and offered to come take care of me. What’s the world coming to when an old man has to be all alone with these chores?
