Bottom line is all that matters to globalist corporations. This PC stunt will fade just like Nike’s but they are petrified of the freaks in our society who are pushing their agenda.Going against the agenda with the typical leftist reaction horrifies the companies.
Don’t short PG-—at least not now, today, you’ll be liable to pay out a .71/sh dividend in a few days, the 17th or the 18th.
*And* the puts will have embedded the expectation that the common will drop that 70 cents as soon as the stock goes ex.
Wait a few days.
[long PG specifically to collect the divvy and hedged]
Have you SEEN the 2 minute lecture on toxic masculinity by Gillette on YouTube? Yes, primary customer audience, YOU are evil bastards for letting testosterone poison your boys, and its time you shaped up!
I might be open to a Sunday Sermon by my pastor, that gently urged us, as men, to behave like Christ. Thats his job, and he does it wonderfully. But what is the mentality behind this nonsense? YOUR job is to sell razors to create jobs in manufacturing and to return profits to your investors. You have been losing market share to Harrys and Dollar Shave Club, and NEED your customer base, who frankly are largely older men like me. And your solution is to shame the customer base?
Well, some results are in You DO have everyone talking about this. And the up/down vote on YouTube is 18K think lecturing men to not be so manly is a great idea. And 190K think, wow, Im never buying your product again. Perhaps you should have, I dont know, made a commercial that extolled the quality, price and value of your product against those cheaper upstarts people actually want? Nope. Some peppy, sanctimonious ad exec had a point to make, a point far more Important than profits.
Get woke, go broke, guys. But feel free to blame we toxic men for not being enlightened enough to buy a product that is hostile to who we are. You will anyway.
Gillette products will turn you into a homo...
Ah, but who is buying...?
I’ve been using Gillette 20+ years. Yesterday, due to their ad, I went online and bought a Schick power razor. Done with Gillette forever.
I have seen over the years the whiny men on the newer tv shows. I watch a lot of the old shows from the 50’s thru the 80’s and they just do not have whiny guys on them.

BJ’s membership stores have their own brand of disposable (like Good News) razors in packs of 100, for a reasonable price. I’ve used them, and they’re pretty good.
I don’t like schick, never have...they either angle their blades wrong, or, they’re just too sharp, and I always cut myself with Schick.
But, I’m done with Gillette.
“This is the result when feminists, homosexuals and the mentally deranged achieve corporate and political power. They do everything they can, constantly testing the limits, to mold the culture to their deranged view.”
This why civilized people used to put such deviants to death. It was simply too dangerous to allow them to live.
The same funds that were allocated to fake bot upvotes on the ad.
With a brush. Soak brush under hot water, fill shaving mug with hot water, swish brush around and get a good lather and brush onto face, nice hot shave with lots of lather.
BTW, Amazon has a three pack on sale for less than 7 dollars. That will last me for a year.
Upside: No ingrown hairs, fewer nicks, smoother shave, closer shave.
Downside: Forget where I put shaving soap and have to buy more. Comes in, find other soap, now have a lifetime supply.
Thanks hadn’t checked that yet.
True, Gillette mgmt. had the final say, but it was probably the decision of their marketing dept., and they’re often as desperate to appear relevant and fashionable as any SJW. And ad agencies can be very, very persuasive. It’ll be interesting to see how Gillette handles the backlash. Rush Limbaugh just this moment mentioned the Gillette ads . . .
Ex-div is 1/17 @ .71
Plus they have earnings 1/23 before the mkt opens.
I have no particular opinion as to PG beyond then. PG, as you may know, acts as a defensive stock so sometimes rises if the market gets bad and falls if the market gets bullish. It is stodgy; which is one of the reasons I like to trade it and I have a fair pile of options out to June on it as well as the common. Repeat: no opinion, or, I should say, no opinion that I am ironclad committed to, no opinion that leads me to unhedge. PG was 78 in October (on crappy earns) but has been raised guidance wise target 108 which is IMO ridiculous. I think it is highish here but not very highish. It has been trading kinda sorta good but not super good lately.
Rgds.
The problem with people who are XX is that they are not really women.
They think they are women but they are not.
I don’t remember if I have ever bought a Gillette product, but I did stay overnight in Gillette, Wyoming, once. To be on the safe side, I will avoid that town in the future.
