As Gillette has come under increasing competition from low priced competitors such as Dollar Shave Club and Harry's, along with a resurgent Schick who is offering refill cartridges that fit Gillette razors, its market share has dropped from 70% to 50% over the past decade. Gillette has been forced to drop the price of its razors by about 15% over the past few years and is on the verge of losing master brand status.
It is within this competitive context that Gillette debuted its We Believe in the Best in Men ad campaign on its website yesterday, part of an overall shift to the slightly modified tag The Best a Man Can Be. The 1:48 length video starts out with images of remarkably troubled looking men as a narrator makes reference to bullying, sexual harassment, and toxic masculinity. It then poses the question Is This the Best a Man Can Get. The viewer then sees depictions of a series of very ugly and negative behaviors, including bullying, fighting, sexual harassment, and blatantly interfering with a woman speaking in the workplace. The ad goes on to state it is time for men to stop making excuses and to renounce the idea that boys will be boys. Gillette concludes that concludes by calling for and showing images of men holding other men accountable and emphasizing that the boys of today will be the men of tomorrow.

Gillet should join forces with Dick’s.
This is the result when feminists, homosexuals and the mentally deranged achieve corporate and political power. They do everything they can, constantly testing the limits, to mold the culture to their deranged view. Their “values” of course are contrary to both Darwinian and divine law and are anti American. Ultimately there will be a reckoning and these deviants will be defeated. It won’t be pretty.
Guess I’ll be going generic as well.
This lecturing bullcr@p has to end!
Maybe gillette wants men to use there product to neuter themselves?
I believe most men have always done the right thing. Some men don’t, just like some women, but MEN ARE THE PROBLEM, right?
I don’t want PC moralizing from my razor company. I want razors. I’ll get my conscience somewhere else.
And now, I’ll get my razors somewhere else too.
What’s worse is that all the virtue posturing is ultimately designed to encourage men to shave — to sell more razors.
Believe it or not, their stocks are opening ^ up. Curious how long it will last.
That was a funny movie.
It would have been better if they had not had the little girl use bad language.
Keep in mind that corporations never, ever create their own ad campaigns. These are invariably handled by ad agencies that compete to land the largest and most desirable accounts. And those ad agencies are without exception staffed by far leftwing types, including significant numbers of homosexuals. They’re also very persuasive, convincing their clients that this sort of offensive PC nonsense is exactly how they need to portray themselves to their customers.
Bad comedians use bad language as a crutch for their incompetence. I never got the humor in just being crude.
Love Harry’s....reminds me I need to reorder....
Do not buy from Harry’s. One of the two founders (and probably the other one, too) openly (on Twitter) supports Obama, DACA, “Pride” month, gun control and who knows what else.
yeah - I looked at it as well. Considering a short/put...did ok when I did that on Nike .... just took a few weeks longer then I wanted.
See my reply at post 12. Harry’s is 10 times more progressive than Gillette. Plus they mean it. Gillette is just pulling an advertising stunt.
Look Sharp! Be Sharp!--The Boston Pops Orchestra (1954)
I hate to think what your opinion must be of Andrew Dice Clay. LOL
However, before stopping I had a double-edged "safety" razor, and had purchased 400 blades--enough to last me the rest of my life.
I just got tired of spending stupid money to remove some hair on a regular basis.
I dont want PC moralizing from my razor company. I want razors. Ill get my conscience somewhere else.
And now, Ill get my razors somewhere else too.

Ditto.
I have often wondered if those folks are sometimes insulated from what’s actually happening in the world. Feeding on each other locally per say.
