There’s an arrest recorded for him on my local PD’s website. The charge was “assault on a child under 12.”
Sorry, I don’t equate fighting the British Army with sucker punching a 11 year old girl. So save that rhetoric for something else

Real men take themselves and their loved ones out of situations like that.
Walking away from a fight may be considered “more manly” but in reality, it’s different.
He was surrounded by a pack of potentially violent teens.
They don't just step aside and let you pass. You don't just 'walk away' or potentially even more dangerous, turn your back.
That's when they pounce.
Plus I think my wife and kid would be better off with me at home, working my business, being a provider, a husband and a dad and not in jail 3-10 years for beating up a 11 year old girl at the mall.

I can’t change society, and beating up a 11 year old girl at the mall isn’t going to change anything either. Just require me to spend 100-200 grand on lawyers and spend a few years in jail. Sorry, not worth it.

I probably would have an alternative exit too but if not, whatever. I’m not on this planet to discipline other peoples kids either but I’m also not here to look the other way or find an alternative exit.
It’s really not that hard to control your kids. And I’m allowed to be pissed when you don’t.
If a feral or rowdy group of kids are being criminal, I can walk away but I don’t have to. Sorry, I’m not going to rearrange my life to suit some teens. We have no idea how this escalated but I do see a grown adult pushing kids and kids pushing the grown adult, whatever happened first, which is not on video, the adult is required to be the adult. Take your wife and kid(s), and either go back into the mall, or go around this group. Its that simple. Being rambo and start sucker punching 11 year old kids isn’t the answer. You honestly have zero concept of the legal use of force and when you can escalate that force. This was not self defense by any legal standard. That is why the adult was arrested and the child was not. Think about it. Please do. Cause, I don’t want to see arrest report/video of you going rambo on some kid

That is not your decision if you go to jail or not. The officer doesn’t offer you a choice in that matter. If they believe you are the aggressor in the situation, and if you were the adult in that video that is posted here, you would be going to jail for that assault. Your tough girl attitude with the cops isn’t going to keep you out of jail. If anything it will make them want to take you to jail.

Yes they do. Sucker punching a 11 year old girl in front of your wife and kid isn’t being manly, sorry. You take your wife and kid out of that situation, not put them in the middle of it. Taking your wife and kid to a different exit at the mall would have saved this man a ton of embarrassment, if he is employed, he may not be tomorrow, and a ton legal fees, possible jail time as well.
That is a sucker punch, a sucker punch doesn’t have to be from behind. She wasn’t expecting it, nor was she prepared for it. That is the very definition of a sucker punch.

Well, generally cops don’t arrest/summons people for crimes they have no evidence of being committed. Sure it CAN happen, but we have video proof, and if we have it, so do the cops. So they made a decision by video and witnesses at the scene, including the man who committed the crime, where they had enough evidence for an arrest. They arrested the man, not the 11 year old girl.
Of course, he can defend himself in court, he can hire lawyers, which will be expensive or he can plead it out with the prosecutor. Either way, its not a good situation to be in. Of course the prosecutor could drop the charges as well. But I don’t think that will happen here.

Being sucker punched is one thing -- when it comes down to actually being face-to-face, you hear a lot of shouting, cursing, see all kinds of histrionics, arm waving, neck stretching, but in the end, can't fight a lick.
