Yes they do. Sucker punching a 11 year old girl in front of your wife and kid isn’t being manly, sorry. You take your wife and kid out of that situation, not put them in the middle of it. Taking your wife and kid to a different exit at the mall would have saved this man a ton of embarrassment, if he is employed, he may not be tomorrow, and a ton legal fees, possible jail time as well.
That is a sucker punch, a sucker punch doesn’t have to be from behind. She wasn’t expecting it, nor was she prepared for it. That is the very definition of a sucker punch.
Odd conclusion. I would assume that charging, with fists raised, intent on punching someone would be the very definition of 'expecting it'.
