“NEW YORK – The 22-year-old co-founder of a charity that advocates for victims of sexual violence was arrested on Tuesday in New York for possession of child pornography and for working to arrange sexual encounters with children as young as two years old. Joel Davis — who helped found Youth to End Sexual Violence, and chaired the UN’s International Campaign to Stop Rape and Gender Violence in Conflict — has been charged with several counts, including attempted sexual exploitation of a minor and enticement of a minor to engage in sexual activity, after exchanging messages with undercover federal agents earlier this month.

During those text message exchanges, Davis had told undercover law enforcement officers that he was sexually interested in children of all ages, including infants, and had sent the officers explicit photographs of infants and toddlers. Some of the photos showed the minors engaged in sexual activity with adults.

Davis, who had previously been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2015 and had served as the U.S.’ Youth Ambassador on Sexual Violence in Conflict, also told the officers of his intention to engage in sexual activities with an undercover officer’s nine-year-old daughter and the two-year-old daughter of the officer’s girlfriend. He is alleged to have gone into great detail about the sexual activities he wished to perform with the children.”

I’ve never had someone like Trump before who just makes me smile when I see his picture. These videos are, for me, tail thumping happy times.

Superb video, mairdie. I know what you mean about the smiling. Heck, when someone is just talking about Trump honestly and objectively it makes me smile.

I hope some here got the chance to hear the first hour of Hannity yesterday. Louie Gohmert was sitting in, and Louie had Stephen Moore of Cato Institute/Freedom Works fame as a guest. Moore and Art Laffer (another fav economist of mine) have a new book out together titled Trumponomics.

Moore revealed that he and Laffer had a number of meetings with Trump prior to him getting the Republican nomination. (This did me right because it validated my opinion that Trump continually consults "the right people"). Moore was quite enthusiastic in his praise of Trump basically based around him being a quick study and how thorough and deep Trump's thought went about economics. Moore said that he and Laffer would propose an idea, Trump would generally agree with the proposal but always hammered those two regarding how it would eventually effect the middle class. "The rich guy can handle whatever we throw out there, but how was it going to hit the common guy?" Moore was saying. And it was this commitment to this "common man idea" that really got to Moore. And Moore confessed to Louie that he was very unsure of Trump at first...after all he was a reality TV showman, right?

Louie asked about the book, Trumponomics. Moore said it was basically an outline of how Trump is actually marrying Reagonomics to how things really work in the real world. "You know, Louie, DC is a pretty insulated enclave, and you guys don't get out much...present company excluded. You really ought to take a look around at actual events. Trump brings street smarts to the table." (At that instant I couldn't help but think of the scene in Back to School where Rodney Dangerfield is ripping his professor's la-la land of make-believe business.)

And Moore talked about when Trump signed Kari's Law as Moore was there for the signing. I know nothing about this deal, and for those of you who don't either it is this:

The namesake of the bill is Kari Hunt, whose estranged husband murdered her in a Texas hotel room in December 2013. While the murder took place, Hunt’s 9-year-old daughter Brianna tried calling 911 four times. Because the youngster didn’t know that the hotel required a prefix to be dialed to get an outside line, none of the calls were received by a public-safety answering point (PSAP). Since then, Hank Hunt—Kari’s father—has worked to get laws passed at the local, state and federal levels that are designed to ensure that MLTS systems allow direct dialing to 911.

Anyway, Moore said that Brianna was at the bill signing, and Donald Trump could not have been more genuine and sweet to Brianna...I think Moore used the word precious to describe the interaction. "It was like father and daughter, Louie. We rarely get to see this Donald Trump, but that is who he is. It's a shame that's not publicized much."

So that was that. I just got so caught up in Moore's enthusiasm of telling us what he could about Trump in the limited time he had. It really lifted my spirits and made me smile all inside and stuff. I think we've all hitched our wagons to a good one: Donald Trump.

I am in DC right now, visiting my daughter and our new grandchild. Uber driver had the news on, coming from the airport. It was very pro-Pelosi and all about how POTUS is on the ropes. The first thing that greeted our eyes when we got to our air-b&b room was a giant portrait of Ruth B G!

Obummer’s leafy presidential portrait is watching over the bed! And my daughter has a giant Hilliary poster in her apartment.

It’s really a case of “same planet, different worlds” here.

Despairing that all the subtle progress we are making will not be enough to ever convince the blue pill crowd.
