We got our first snow for the year at about 4:30 pm PT. It was only about 1/4 inch and now some rain is coming down and it is all melting. Very mild winter so far.

I am so glad to hear you are doing so much better. In my book there is nothing better then physical therapy. I am convinced if it wasn't for them my husband wouldn't be here. They did wonders after he had his bleed in the brain.

So, I just heard on Tucker Carlson (Mark Steyn) that the idea of completely closing the border is to make the country like Australia - all trade has to be done by waterways and into ports. It sounded like a good idea, except I don’t know how that would stop the illegals from sneaking over the border. Anyone have any ideas on how that would work?

Was once diagnosed with adult onset chronic pneumonia, only to find out it was an extreme vitamin D deficiency . Haven’t had to use inhaler etc since the D levels have gotten up to normal. It was truly a life saver.

Subject: In-town pool report #3 - Trump dining with Pence at Naval Observatory

Pool loaded into vans in the south driveway at 6:51 p.m.

POTUS motorcade departed the White House at 7:27 to an undisclosed destination. No sighting of POTUS as he left the residence.

Heading west, past the Kennedy Center and the Watergate complex, up Rock Creek Parkway and finally Massachusetts Avenue, the motorcade arrived at the Naval Observatory, the VPOTUS residence, at 7:35.

Trump will be having dinner here with VPOTUS Mike Pence, acting Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney and senior adviser Jared Kushner, according to Jessica Ditto, our wrangler for the night.

We are not anticipating a spray but will advise if that changes.

Pool is holding in vans.

My knee is not so good today, but I am feeling better
over all, and am very grateful for that!
It took about a month an a half to get well!

I feel so blessed, third time is the charm. My third physical therapist was awesome! She’s only 30 but no so much. I had no idea that they have to have doctorates these days. I think they are more knowledgeable than the doctors, the last two I went to said that they treat what they find not necessarily what the prescription says. Makes me think that that means the prescription is wrong much of the time.

I’m glad they did a lot to help your husband. It’s so nice to know we have resources that we can fall back on when we need them.

I meant your flu and your knee. It must have tried to interpret and must have thought I meant fluid in your knee or something.

A month-and-a-half to get well, oh my. Were you able to take time off work? I hope your knee gets to feeling better.

I probably shouldn’t have jumped in the weights, now my wrists are feeling fairly fragile. I guess the good news is I don’t feel my elbows at all anymore :-) my wrists are the weak link and I need to be more careful of them.

So maybe tomorrow, no weights. I have to start thinking smart about this instead of what I want, do what my body will allow. I am getting older, you know? Sad but true.

I think I need to stay off of Facebook. I only go there to learn about medical conditions oh, mainly cuz I can’t figure out how to use the rest of the site. And I don’t want to take the time to learn. So I just wander into these groups about retinal detachment and dry eyes, another one of my issues.

And anytime someone asks a question about how much a procedure or drops or anything cost, all these rapid socialists in Canada or the UK or Australia show up and brag about how everything they get is “free”.

Ignored it for a while, and just concentrated on learning about the medical issues. But now I’ve had enough so I’m fine with picking fights. Not really picking fights but just pointing out that nothing is free, they should look at the overall taxes they pay compared to us. They should also look at the Epic anomic opportunities that they don’t have and their living conditions compared to us. I know most live in apartments in most of Europe. My family doesn’t Italy, and they are amazed that we have a whole house to ourselves. And I don’t see the correlation between their socialism and their lack of economic opportunities.

Anyway these idiots say things like “ thank God for the NHS” and that they feel so sorry for us having to actually pay for our Medical Care.

BUT it took me three times to get a great physical therapist. If we were dealing with socialized medicine, I would get one therapist and that’s it. And if they didn’t know what they were doing that would be tough. Same with the bad orthopedic surgeons I went to they gave me the wrong diagnosis and set me back months. Even with her choice of medical care, it’s hard to get it right but at least we do have choices to walk away from incompetent people.

And as Rob pointed out to me, it’s a vicious cycle over there. As good paying jobs disappear, they become more dependent on the NHS. And the more dependent people are on social services, the more the economy tanks and there are less opportunities. And then people think they need all these Social Services even more. They don’t recognize that that is what is stealing their freedom.
