The "Beto for President" research group has determined that it is necessary to rebrand "Beto" for a nationwide campaign. Although "Beto" seemed a popular brand with Texas progressives, it was determined that it wouldn't be successful for a nationwide campaign.
Research indicated that the word "beto" is an Italian slang for an obscene hand gesture. Additionally, most East and West Coast progressives are too educated to identify with Mexican slang.
The research group first suggested that "Jesus" (pronounced Hey-Zeus) be substituted for "Beto" but indications were that conservatives would challenge him to walk on water and he would in all probability drown. Also, there would be major objections from the Muslim states of Minnesota, Michigan, etc. where a "fatwa" could be issued to kill him.
To satisfy all concerned, it was decided the "Che" would be the brand he would use (Roberto Francis "Che" O'Rourke). All moderately progressive Social Democrats of America and the hard core progressive communist Party of the US members agreed they could support this brand.
Roberto Francis got “Vetoed.”

Master Beto, master debater.
The White Shadow
Whitey O’Rourke, putting the privilege in White Privilege.
In Swedish, “beto” is apparently an obsolete plural form of “bet”, which is the past tense of “bita” (to bite).
He’s got a real smarmy look.
The dims are going to have a debate a month starting this summer. The cast of characters they have will make for great television moments. Beto, fauxcahauntus, crazy uncle Joe, etc etc. The popcorn poppers gonna need a backup. The talk show hosts Rush et all are going to get a bonus of material they probably never dreamed of. And DJT has to come up with nicknames for all the clowns. Gotta love it.
If he is going to rebrand himself, I hope the branding poker is RED HOT. I can tell you where I’d like the branding to go on at. And this is not a SARC!
Most people, used to Mexicanos, are used to Mexican slang. In fact, my handyman is named Beto short for Robert.
