The use of these vaunted “302” reports are a frame up of any American, when composed by the wrong hand.

There of course should be nothing short of a full transcript supplied by the Justice Dept and by the target’s own attorney, and perhaps by a Third Neutral Party, from say... Siam.

Nobody gets to type up their own biased impressions in the absence of all others principles in the room.

Your speculation is almost certainly correct. The charge he pled to is nonsense but he didn’t want to face the other potential charges, or have his son charged. But for those considerations his lawyers would have filed a motion to withdraw the plea which would have been granted.

The judge gave the Brady order AFTER Flynn already pled guilty, which is why we are where we are.

Flynn pled guilty Dec. 1, 2017. Judge Sullivan gave Brady instructions Dec. 12, 2017.

Correct. The judge suspected that the whole plea deal was a sham and that the defendant was not really guilty so he ordered that all the exculpatory evidence be turned over to him so HE could read the investigation reports and decide for himself whether the plea was based on fact.

Yup. Judge Sullivan isn’t convinced that the plea is based on Flynn actually being guilty. Will be real interesting to see what happens in court tomorrow.

Brady always applies with or without an order. Sometimes defense asks court for an order but it is mostly for effect. In this case the judge on his own motion also issued a series of orders because he has some doubts whether the plea is legit and he wanted to read the police reports himself and decide if the deft really is guilty. And by issuing the orders he can punish the prosecution if he finds prosecutorial misconduct. Just like he did in the Stevens case.

INFINITY SYMBOL

It could very well mean "a belief in the Infinite." It was difficult finding an explanation, but apparently they have opened the selection of symbols used on military and veteran markers. Families are able to petition for a symbol to be added to the list of symbols accepted for markers.

NPR had a transcript of a conversation about symbols used on veteran headstones, but did not specifically mention the Infinity. I include this as background on the system in place for veterans/military headstones:

Mueller had just filed a motion – so maybe the second Brady order was a Judge Sullivan brushback of some kind. Impossible to know until all is said and done.

I am wrong. I re-read the plea agreement (10 pages) here and it does not mention other crimes.

There was a great deal of speculation about what other potential crimes he may have committed, and what Mueller had up his sleeve, but that is just speculation.

I suspect I conflated what I was reading on Conservative Treehouse with the actual documents. We do know from Mueller's sentencing recommendation that Flynn has been providing substantial help on an unrelated matter, the details of which were sealed and redacted.

Given today's indictments it's easy to guess that he was ratting out his Turkish contacts.
