Not much on that page- Basically there’s been no case where FOIA was applied to sealed indictments. Reporters agreed to research further, and got additional time to do so. Came back and said we can’t find precedent for it.
Then Government replies that Reports are not correct wrt to reliance on case law, and goes on to quote some cases where eventually a sealed indictment might have something to do with first amendment.
My take on the situation- based only on limited info:
Indictments are sealed for a reason. The prosecution unseals when ready. Press is trying to circumvent usual procedure.
