This is the entire show, 24+ minutes, not just the out take..........................ENJOY!..............
Ah, back when tv actually had comedy. True laughable comedy.
One of the greatest sitcom episodes ever.
“...Oh the humanity!”
Originally aired on October 30, 1978, forty years ago.
It seems like yesterday.

I saw this when it was first on TV.
Funniest thing I had ever seen. We were literally rolling on the floor laughing.
One of the few things rarely mentioned is the huge pause when Less Nessman started the broadcast and was reading the letters on the banner trailing the airplane.
He said “it spells W...K...R....[long pause]....P” with the crew practically falling over waiting for that last ‘P’ to come out.
I always thought that was a subtle but hilarious part.
I watch this episode every Thanksgiving.
I watched that episode on Monday. Part of my Thanksgiving tradition. I surprised myself by laughing hysterically, even though I knew what was coming and can recite most of the dialogue, too.
And not to let the “Bailey versus Jennifer” debate get in the way of peoples’ fun, lol.
IIRC, one year they did the drop with live turkeys and the next year (or a parody skit on some other program) did it with frozen turkeys.
Both were hilarious.
Oh no you didn’t.
Classic episode from a great sitcom.
“As god is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly”.
Show had a lot of subtleties and small details that contributed to the humor. In this one episode Jennifer (Loni Anderson) volunteers to get a shaken Mr. Carlson a cup of coffee. But just the one time, because as a receptionist Jennifer was the highest paid staff member at the station, and she didn’t cater to others.
Very much so.
The event was brought up layer in The Real Families episode. Herb was grilled about it.
“as God as my witness I thought turkeys could fly”
One of the greatest lines ever delivered on television IMO.
The funniest ever!
They just don’t make TV shows like this any more. And they wonder why their ratings are in the tank...............
Carlson’s “I got a monkey on my foot!” — I still laugh every time I think of that episode.
Debate? I thought that was concluded a long time ago :) In favor of the brunette, that is.
I really don’t know how to describe it. It was like the turkeys mounted a counter-attack. It was almost as if they were... organized!
LOL
