I took home turkey, ham and dressing. Mom really did a great job on the turkey, not dry at all. Her dressing is the best. Sister brings the ham, always great. I was good and only had one dessert, took no leftover desserts home.
Can’t wait for the great leftovers tomorrow.

Everything turned out wonderful.
Sweet potato casserole biggest hit,recipe called for pecans on top but I put dried cranberries and honeyed almonds on top, turkey very juicy.
Long day.
Thankful for so many things, consider my self very blessed.

Among the many so-called historic demographic firsts achieved as a result of the midterm elections, Minnesota voters sent Ilhan Omar to the House of Representatives. Omar, a Somali-American, will be the first female Muslim member of Congress when she takes Keith Ellison’s old seat in January.
But now Jewish Democrats who supported her candidacy are experiencing buyer’s remorse. In a recent interview, Omar revealed that she is in favor of the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement against Israel, a stance that is in direct conflict with what she said during the campaign.

Well you opened the door ro_dreaming...one year my SIL put the sweet potatoes with marshmallows on top in the oven and forgot them until the oven caught on fire.
And several years ago my MIL needed a small hand to put inside the turkey to get the bag of giblets out. So my SIL was selected being young with very small hands. She put her hand inside the cavity but when she tried to get her hand out her hand stuck inside because the turkey was still somewhat frozen. We were in panic the longer it took. We debated on who to call and was very close to calling the fire department when we finally got her hand out.

Just got back from a full Turkey Day dinner. Waddling around the house. Great food!

You say you put the Turkey in the oven for 2 1/2 hours. Wasn’t it already cooked? If so that seems like a long time to warm it back up. Did it get dried out? Yes 2 1/2 hours...as per directions at 325, I was afraid it would be so dry also. It turned out to be one of the most moist turkeys we have had, unbelievable .
