My friend Jul tried a chicken/avocado salad the other day that I had posted in our FB cooking/entertainment group & said it was dry. sharing pros and cons is good! I would use a sour cream n mayo mix

November 22, 1963 -I was a college frosh and in downtown Cleveland at lunch having a sandwich.

As it turns out my grandfather died the same day. These were the times of 3 days visitations and with huge family was just never near a TV. I never saw any of the coverage but did afterward digest the table top memory books that were published

Sending a Thanksgiving dinner SOS.

Does anyone have tips on how to reheat a store bought fully cooked Thanksgiving turkey dinner? After 50 years of cooking Thanksgiving dinner myself, I bought one. Hope I did not make a huge mistake. There will only be 3 of us.

I am not exactly sure what you have there, but I reheat mine in a corning dish with a cover and put it in the OVEN at 350 25 to 30 min. with just a dab of water in the dish. I NEVER microwave mine because it drys things out and does not stay hot for very long.

Guess I will wing it. I have cooked for many years...LOL. ( will see how much I have learned)

I was at Catholic school and it was the first time we’d had a tv at school. The nuns rolled in theirs.

Then, at the Oswald shooting, I was home. A new 19” RCA black and white tv on a metal rolling stand. First tv we had bought at the mall. It probably came from Monkey Wards. Think we got one channel and sometimes a Mexican channel that only showed bullfighting.

That Christmas, we had a little silver tree. Don’t know if it was bought or the mall was getting rid of their Christmas stuff early. I do know the ornaments were what the mall was throwing out - plastic balls of holly with red berries. Oh, and one of those lights that rotated yellow, green, red and blue.

I’m hearing there are no more avocados. The season is over or some such. Never knew there was a down time in the past.

Ha, Mr. b is sighing and sighing. Time for his after turkey nap and hasn’t had seconds. He says he doesn’t have room for pie and he WANTS pie. Oh, he’s hurting!

Since it’s only the 3 of you, cut it up and only heat up what you can eat today. Otherwise, it’ll dry out. Cover the pieces in foil, drizzle a little water to help steam it and put it in a 350 oven for 20 minutes or until warmed through. Hope it works for you.
