Good morning!

Breakfast with a South of the Border flair, pass the hot sauce, please.

Thanks!

Did you get any more of that white fluffy stuff?

Can’t remember what it’s called since it has become so rare here.

I found it interesting to take in the cooking variations when I moved to NC from the north.

The cornbread was NOT used like we do a side bread. It was put in a bowl and “beans” were put atop. Cornbread and beans. The cornbread alone was dry & lacking in flavor. The beans in general not much better. Thick soup consistency. Long cooked dry beans - often but not always with pork hock/meat. usually no garlic or onion for flavor. The beans too were rather bland. But this was a real treat and hit for the locals and was a common company meal and at pot lucks. Huge crockpot of beans next to the 3” X 3” pieces of cornbread with deep bowls.

Adding catsup and salt helped but of course I was looked at with evil eyes. LOL

Add this also to the banana sandwiches, greens, okra, pig roasts, and a few other dishes - none of which were on my “favorites” list.

But desserts.. another story. many I had never heard of prior but found very good.

Found this anonymous post on FB.

Read this from a California resident:

This is going to be a long but it needs to be said. I live near these fires. I am beyond angry. But guess what? Not at Trump. These fires are real to me. We see flames from our house almost every year. We very nearly lost our home to the Cottonwood Fire in 1994. That was a big, intense fire at the time, burning 48,000 acres over two weeks. Miraculously no homes were lost. Twenty-five years later, it wouldn't even make the news now. Now these fires are burning twice that much land in a matter of days, not weeks. People who live near these fires agree with Trump and have been saying the same thing for decades!

For years I have listened to our former president and governor blame these fires on drought and climate change. Well guess what, we have just come out of the two wettest years on record and these fires are worse than ever. Whether climate change is a factor or not, reducing emissions and making California energy independent is not going to do a a g thing to save our forests today. (And how do you like that air quality now?!) Why the left blames the right, our forests are going up in smoke and NOTHING is done to actually help the situation.

And don't blame the Forest Service either. They KNOW what needs to be done. They WANT to do it. But forest manager have essentially been neutered by environmental groups, crippling their ability to do what needs to be done by costly and time consuming lawsuits. I worked for eight years for the US Forest Service. I saw it with my own eyes. Managers spent so much time doing environmental analyses to comply with and try to avoid lawsuits, that they barely have any time to actually manage the resources. When I left, it was taking seven YEARS to get a timber sale contract through.

These environmental groups would rather see our forests go up in smoke than to see them logged or grazed. They have literally said this. And heaven forbid the management be done by private industry that actually generates money for our government rather than be done by the government itself at the expense of OUR tax dollars.

So Trump is right. These catastrophic fires ARE the result of gross mismanagement. His only mistake is not placing the blame exactly where it belongs: on the environmentalists.

And what's Hillary Clinton? Assange is an enemy of the deep state for exposing it, Hillary Clinton is the deep state, that's the difference..

Great read, and oh so true.

I’m hoping that most of the people in CA will wake up, can they be so stupid as to keep electing the same dims who continue to lie to them.

It is truly a matter of life and death and it is only going to get worse if Californians don’t rise up and vote in honest people who will help not harm.

Thanks for posting.

These appear to be applications for court orders for wiretaps/cell phone records, etc. from October, 2017.

Notice that most are closed in Oct. 2017.

I don’t think this means the cases are closed—just that the court order has been given and thus, off the court docket.

The most used section referred to is this:

18 US Code 2703 (d)

Which is the authority to request a court order for records of telecommunications service providers:

U.S. Code › Title 18 › Part I › Chapter 121 › § 2703
18 U.S. Code § 2703 - Required disclosure of customer communications or records

“(d)Requirements for Court Order.—
A court order for disclosure under subsection (b) or (c) may be issued by any court that is a court of competent jurisdiction and shall issue only if the governmental entity offers specific and articulable facts showing that there are reasonable grounds to believe that the contents of a wire or electronic communication, or the records or other information sought, are relevant and material to an ongoing criminal investigation. In the case of a State governmental authority, such a court order shall not issue if prohibited by the law of such State. A court issuing an order pursuant to this section, on a motion made promptly by the service provider, may quash or modify such order, if the information or records requested are unusually voluminous in nature or compliance with such order otherwise would cause an undue burden on such provider.”

Widdle Eric Swalwell has found himself in a lot of trouble, a while back he wrote an op-ed about confiscating our guns. Many took to twitter.....

John Cardillo ‏Verified account @johncardillo

Make no mistake, Democrats want to eradicate the Second Amendment, ban and seize all guns, and have all power rest with the state.

These people are dangerously obsessed with power.

Joe Biggs ‏Verified account @Rambobiggs 16h16 hours ago

Joe Biggs Retweeted John Cardillo

So basically @RepSwalwell wants a war. Because that’s what you would get. You’re outta your f@#king mind if you think I’ll give up my rights and give the gov all the power.

Rep. Eric Swalwell ‏Verified account @RepSwalwell 16h16 hours ago

And it would be a short war my friend. The government has nukes. Too many of them. But they’re legit. I’m sure if we talked we could find common ground to protect our families and communities.

Joe Biggs ‏Verified account @Rambobiggs Replying to @RepSwalwell

So our government would nuke its own country in order to take guns? Wow

lysie, to me these fires are too big and too fast to be normal.

It is almost like an area is targeted, then preheated to some level, and then flashes over, and you have a huge fire.

Used to be that a fire would take place in an area and take time to burn into a bigger fire.

That is not happening here. These fires are huge, and get huge very very quickly.

I read where they are traveling 80 football fields a minute. That is 80 x 300 ft/football field= 24,000 feet/hour==equals over four miles? In a minute?

Lots of talk about DEW—direct energy weapons being used.

I have seen personal video taken by people who have gone back to burned out areas to look for people.

Many people are found in their cars, literally burned to a crisp—nothing left except bones and a skull in most cases. Mostly ash where a human being used to be.

Paradise, CA is wiped out. That was a town of 25,000 people!

And now over 1,000 people are missing and 71 dead.

The odds are not good.

I have read where ANTIFA and ISIS both have stated they plan to kindle many more fires to hurt the US. They had taken “credit” for the current fires/

True? who knows.
