Part of “cutting the cord” is saying goodbye to TV.
TV sucks. It’s nothing but ads. You pay for ads. I mean WTF

You should be a little more specific. What do you want to get? Not channels...but what you want to watch. That makes recommendations easier.

you haven’t watched tv since 2008 but you know 90% its garbage. Wow!

I read enough about what’s on TV to know I wouldn’t enjoy it.
On occasion, such as at a restaurant, I’ll be subjected to TV, but I try to choose a table where the TV won’t interfere with the reason I’m there: to eat.

You can subscribe most major sports leagues through their websites. I generally buy a video subscription to MLB each yearI get a free MLB subscription from T-Mobile every year. But it is really useless to me since the games I want to see are blacked out in my area. I have taken to using MLBStreams on Reddit...Sorry

I turned my TV off in 2001 and don’t miss it a bit. Much more time for practicing guitar..

Weird... sometimes I need to raise my arm or move over just an inch or 2 for mine to work ... just sometimes, most of the time PBS comes through just fine

If you watch MLBtv from behind a VPN you can avoid blackouts by picking a server in a different city. As far as MLB knows, you are watching from the city in which the chosen server is located. You can subscribe to a VPN for a couple of bucks a month. It’s a very good idea to use a VPN to protect in any event to protect your privacy. Avoiding MLB blackouts is just an added benefit.

Raught on Mene,
Gave up network TV years ago. Don't miss a damn minute.
I see it once in awhile when I travel. It's a good reminder of why we ditched it.
No more mind control.

We’ve used all the services... HuluLive on a Fire device is the easiest and most reliable.

We’ve had Internet only for the past few years, with Roku. At the same time, we got rid of home phone service and went with Ooma. Not counting the cost for the equipment, it initially saved us over $200 per month; and while we started with an introductory rate that did go up after two years, it doesn’t appear that Verizon is charging us extra because of the way we’re doing things.
We don’t have sports or pay movie channels, but that works for us. I think we spend a little over $100/month for everything now.
