Megyn Kelly’s 9 a.m. Today show hour has been canceled, multiple sources confirm to PEOPLE.
The news comes just 48 hours after she received immense backlash for her controversial remarks about blackface earlier this week.
“They’re contacting the staff and reassigning everyone today. Everyone’s being told that they still have a home here, but it won’t be on Megyn’s show,” one source says. “They haven’t made an official announcement about the show, but everyone knows what it means when they’re being moved somewhere else. The show is clearly over.”
Two additional sources insist that Kelly has not been fired from NBC completely (and she herself has not been told the network’s final decision), but her 9 a.m. show “is most likely over.”

NBC cancelled Megyn Kelly’s show because it produces banal content, has a massive price tag and gets low ratings. NBC used the silly “blackface” “controversy” as a pretext.
I’d fire the dumbass who agreed to pay her $100 million to come over from FOX.
I’m going to say that NBC has been waiting for something like this as the reason to cancel her purely as negotiating leverage. It could have been this or something else. But its all cynical negotiating leverage.

She's going to get paid over %50 million dollars to not work and will be rehired shortly by either fox or another liberal media outlet. Most gold diggers probably just wish they were this much of a failure
I read one report that Megyn is in talks with Fox to return to them.
I remember back then how people predicted here that she was being taken in just for being antiTrump to the right wing audience of hers and would be discarded later like a used towel.

According to the source, the 47-year-old has been in secret talks to return to her network TV alma mater, Fox.
“She’s already talking to Fox to go back. There is no room on the schedule, but it could be Fox & Friends Opens a New Window. ,” the source claimed.
As Radar first reported, she had been plotting a return to Fox for months before her scandal.
However, her jump back to her former network won’t be immediate.
“She won’t leave for Fox until NBC guarantees her the money,” the source said, adding that she’d like to lay low for the rest of the year and start fresh on Fox in 2019.
