“I suppose they know if you went to the trouble of buying a new PC with 7, you certainly wanted nothing to do with 10.”

Some of my PCs came with Win10, I just remove it and install Win 7 or 8.1 instead. (And often also Linux as a second option to boot into.)
i use that classic shell too
Yeah i know abotu delaying updates in win 10- but what i mean is like in windows 7 you go to ‘windows update’ and can choose to install all updates, or individual ones, and ones you know are bad updates (after reading about problems with them online- Say a KB update breaks something, but you haven’t installed it- you read about the problem online, and you avoid that particular KB update by choosing not to install it when you go to windows update app) You can hide- you don’t have to get that particular update- in win 10, you have no choice, you eventually have to get all updates they throw at you-
It’s just another option that win 10 took away from users-
[[Thanks. Now I will probably encounter this word several times over the next several days.]]
LOL- just like when someone says “Look at the clock, it says 3:33, or 4:44” or something like that- so every time ya look at clock in following weeks it’s 2:22, 3:33, 4:44 etc- it’s spooky how that happens sometimes
Never understood how MS was able to legally force install that crap OS Spyware on someone’s PC without permission.

Yup, just another item under the “Why it sux” category. I’ll just keep Win 7 on a few machines after it’s support runs out. I won’t use it for anything online, but just to run some Windows programs I prefer to keep using.
I can access anything on Win7 using Linux, so no problem with file management between operating systems.
Give me back the classic start menu.
I don't want to see 'tiles'.

Is there a “STOP MAKING EVERYTHING SLOW” button? The crap you have to go through to stop processes that bog down your performance is ridiculous!
Does it do anything to speed up the OS boot?
Will they have something that won’t download updates, reboot and kill files which I haven’t saved yet?
. . .its spooky how that happens sometimes.
You can already do all that ...and more ... with Bob.Omb’s Modified Win10PEx64.

Pretty much agree with your list. I’d keep the calculator.
I find calculator and paint useful. I don’t use mail.
this just sounds silly to me
Disk space is cheap, and most of those apps don't run background processes. But in many environments (businesses, and homes with young'uns) the presence of those apps can create confusion or invite trouble.
