...is among parents protesting a West Hollywood school's lack of action over a student with a 'history of violence'.....

...The actor said that just this year so far, the second grader has 'brandished scissors' and 'beaten up and bloodied' 10 kids, while two classrooms had to be evacuated as a result of the student's actions. The bully allegedly previously tried to use a beanbag to suffocate another student....

...A spokesperson from the Los Angeles Unified School District told DailyMail.com that the protest occurred across the street from the school and that the superintendent from the West Regional District spoke with concerned parents. 'While individual student matters are confidential, L.A. Unified has a strong no-tolerance policy when it comes to bullying, hazing or any behavior that threatens the safety or well-being of students, staff or persons at our school,' an L.A. Unified spokesperson said in statement, while providing a link to the school district's website page on Human Relations, Diversity and Equality.

I went to a Catholic school. The nuns allowed no horseplay in the school. Rulers and pointers would leave a nice bruise. Kids were bullies. The bullying was done on the way home and in vacant lots down the street.

That’s always the case isn’t it?

He’s just so “special” that they’ll give him cover and excuses the rest of his life for all the trauma and destruction he causes.

As for “cards”, there are certainly several that come to mind. Another possibility would be that the parent or parents of the bully might be lawyers or politically connected in some way.

It’s also possible, they belong to a certain politically protected religion. I wonder what that might be? 😇😁

I saw plenty of these sociopaths when I was behind the walls.

(He) needs to be in a mental facility

They all have been shuttered and replaced with SSRIs and other anti-depressants allowing the nuts to remain free & walking among us.

If the kid is a danger, then don’t send your kid to school until the school resolves the issue.

“no doubt. There are bad seeds but usually a 2nd grader doesn’t try to suffocate another child unless it’s a re-act of a trauma experienced or witnessed. His homelife is a hellhole, either parents or siblings.”

Agree entirely. Further, if it was your child, and the school contacted you about this kind of behavior, I'm sure you would pull him out of that school and be doing everything you possibly could to figure out what was wrong and to get him help.

We had a bully in our old neighborhood that tried to hit my younger son in the head with a brick (and missed fortunetly). He was bigger and stronger than the other kids his age, and had a violent dad who was in and out of jail. Called cops about the brick incident but they said they couldnt do anything but take a report. Eventually my son and one of his friends fought back after being pushed further than they could take. Neither was a match one on one, but working together they attacked from behind whenever the bully went after the other. None of the other kids would help the bully...they were all relieved he was finally being stood up to. Never heard of a problem with that bully after.

> The child has been abused.

Couldn’t be more obvious. Children learn primarily from imitating their parents.

The school has a Policy but the school doesn’t enforce it.

My grandkids go it one better. They are home schooled. An active shooter trying to get access to their “school” would face an armed and practiced teacher, their mom. Won’t happen, though. A home school is too small a venue.

I think the UK papers write so many stories about America’s foibles so that Brits, potentially unhappy with their own crumbling country, can be brainwashed into thinking that they don’t have it as bad. The papers don’t focus on Britain’s problems so as to keep Brits in the dark so they won’t rise up and create righteous change!

Not true always....I remember being mistreated by so called “rich kids” who actually had decent parents. These kids were just spoiled and got away with a lot. The kid in this story may have parents who are overly permissive and don’t apply discipline. I guess that can be a kind of child abuse if one thinks about it since the child isn’t being trained to curb his or her own impulses that if it continues may lead to a life of imprisonment or early death.

bullying to the NEA means picking on someone gay, black, latino, muslim. fat, glasses, virgin, etc are okay reasons to taunt

If he violently assaults all of his peers he doesn’t discriminate and it just expressing himself.

Also if he is a member of a protected class that can do no evil there is nothing to log.

The school has a Policy but the school doesn’t enforce it.

Obama's DOE brought the full force of the Federal Government down on any school that tried to discipline any kid who wasn't white. They've thus been Pavlov-trained to ignore offenders.

How long has this violent little 2nd grader been in the 2nd grade? I mean has the kid outgrown all the other 2nd graders to the point where they can’t push him away or better, give him a punch in the nose, to defend themselves? I know, they probably have a no tolerance policy for violence that includes self-defense but that doesn’t mean self-defense shouldn’t still happen, both on the part of the kids and the teachers.

It does sound like the child has severe issues and may be a victim of abuse. The home needs to be investigated and matters need to be addressed immediately. Waiting longer is just not a good option.

‘history of violence’ and bullying are not the same thing. This kid has more problems than just wanting to be in charge.

a protest? ayep that ought to do it. a couple of lawyers and a criminal complaint will probably yield better results, but hey! the left is all about protests and FGDN (Feel-good-do-nothing) actions
