At 1418 this afternoon, I did not receive the presidential test alert. I'm a little worried. I know several people that received it, no problem, same area code, same town, but not me. What did I do? Was it a technical glitch? My phone was on, I waited purposefully to see the screen that says I got it. But I didn't get it. So what now? Do I contact my senator and complain, maybe it was something I did in my past, maybe it was a phone conversation that was previously recorded by the NSA, I just don't know what to think of it!
I'm worried. What if there was a thermonuclear launch and I'm putzing around my yard whistling a Happy tune. My phone doesn't alert me to Run for Cover and suddenly without warning, it's 100 million degrees Celsius before I realize what's even happening. Can you imagine getting stuck in a situation such as that? I want to talk to the president, I think he needs to hear my concerns. Maybe I'll send off a quick online email to my senator, who is the Republican, he would understand.
By the way, it is now 1515 local time and still no test has arrived on my Android. I could be Dust in the Wind at this point in time had it been an actual Thermonuclear launch and alert. I don't even know if I could get to sleep tonight over this. I have a safe place in my garage that I occupy when there are tornadoes imminent. Maybe I should go in there... I just recently bombed it for insect infestation so it should be pretty clean... I need some soup, some chicken soup, and warm homemade bread like Mama used to make. but first I have to go putz around the yard it is finally dry enough to mow and maybe my mowing will take me to "that other place where men go" when mowing.

There’s a setting to turn these alerts off. Bet that is set on the phones that didn’t get them.
Rumor has it, if you don’t have a cell phone, Angel’s will descend from the sky, tap you on the shoulder and whisper a message into your ear.

I got the signal then a minute later, got it again.

Maybe you are on a list of people who might be medically unable to handle the stress of an actual alert.
I have Verizon and I got it right on time.
I saw a thread on another forum that was saying many people on the Verizon network across the country did not receive the test. In my case, my Tmobile received it and my Verizon phone did not.
So you had witnesses that no alert arrived on your phone?

I have two phones, two different numbers. Both are ATT.
My work number got the text, my personal number did not.
