Today’s vote was a closure vote.
The real vote is tomorrow, or did you know that, but want to criticize Qanon.
The *assumption* has been that that’s going to be the vote tally for K confirmation. But it could be anything. It could be 53 AGAINST K. It could be some completely different vote, not related to K. It could be the Senate after the election.
Wouldn't that be great?

I don’t know if either of you have experience in project management. There is a tool called a PERT Chart that determines the path by which steps must happen for the successful culmination of the project. One path on a PERT Chart is known as the Critical Path.
Kavanaugh’s presence on the Court is on the Critical Path. Without him, the lower federal courts will put a stop to the arrests and the pain. They will also block the use of military tribunals when the fertilizer hits the ventilator.
The successful outcome of the midterm elections is also on the Critical Path. The top players cannot be arrested until the votes are in place to prevent the adversary from using the legislative process to block what must be done.
At some point after Kavanaugh’s seating on the Court, or after the midterm elections, I fully expect the Left to launch a rebellion similar to what happened in France in May 1968, and I expect the response to be martial law.

Of course today was the cloture vote and confirmation vote is Saturday.

Excellent points about Critical Path.
But it doesn’t have to be Kavanaugh. It just has to be a sane Constitutionalist who isn’t pushing his own personal ideology on the nation.
That said, I expect it will be Kavanaugh barring some gigantic surprise in the next 24 hours. If it’s not K, we have to go back to the beginning of the nomination/confirmation process. Another delay. And in my view, delay is the whole point of what the Ds are doing.
My assumption is that the Ds think they are going to have better numbers in Congress after the midterms and will be able to call the shots then. My opinion is that either they’re smoking something or they think they have the election rigged (like they thought they did in 2016). I also believe that a big part of the Trump/Q plan is to ensure free and fair elections.
One of our brilliant FReeQs (sorry can’t remember who, but kudos) posted yesterday the theory that all those sealed indictments might be for people who have committed election fraud. Ok, not all, but a lot of them. That would sure put a monkey wrench into the works of DS election rigging.
So this Critical Path has a lot of points on it. SCOTUS is one of them. Fair elections is likely another.
Summary CM isn't going to produce the desired effects. General Court Martial will.

Highly unlikely but not out of the realm of possibility.
That type of thing would necessarily need to happen from a grass-roots action and, then, directed at some nebulous group (the rich, white supremacists, etc.). The neo-communists in charge know they can’t win. Only a small group of bat-guano crazy would try this.
Even then, martial law won’t happen.
