Highly unlikely but not out of the realm of possibility.

That type of thing would necessarily need to happen from a grass-roots action and, then, directed at some nebulous group (the rich, white supremacists, etc.). The neo-communists in charge know they can’t win. Only a small group of bat-guano crazy would try this.

Even then, martial law won’t happen.

For those areas in a state of rebellion, I expect Trump to ask former military to register with their local police department or county sheriff. The younger folks fresh off the battlefields of the Middle East will be doing tactical work supplementing regular police forces, and those too old for tactical work (like myself) will hold down desks so that regular officers can be freed for tactical work.

My seat of the pants POV is that the commiepukes will try to incite rebellion but will fail miserably, and martial law will not happen precisely, but very possibly some kind of legal curtailment of “rights” such as free speech that incites rebellion or violence, gatherings larger than X number of people whose purpose is incitement etc, no masks, no protesting in residential areas and the like.

Sort of last ditch effort by the commiepukes to rile their base of Antifa types, maybe drag out some Black Lives Splatter types, some rag heads if available (we know they are), any MS-13 not yet imprisoned or sent back to El Salvador, and has anyone seen La Raza lately? But their efforts will be feeble and no grass roots action will happen.

It will be more like the enemy putting its head up above the trench so they can be easily picked off.
