NYT’s Apologizes for Poll Asking If Ford’s Testimony Is Credible

"We're sorry for this tweet. In retrospect, a Twitter poll is insensitive in light of the gravity of this hearing."

The New York Times was forced to issue a public apology Thursday after public backlash over a Twitter poll that asked whether people believed if Christine Blasey Ford’s testimony was credible.

Ford testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee about her allegations that Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh attempted to sexually assault her in the 1980s.

Shortly after Ford’s opening statement, the New York Times’ opinion Twitter account tweeted a poll asking people whether they believed if Ford was credible.

You jest, but that’s what’s probably coming down the pike. Just as soon as the Uniparty finish the charade of questioning Kavanaugh, the RINO warloads will feed him to the lions.

The answer is a big NO but the survey would not accept my No vote.

Give me a break with this woman, I don’t care how many degrees she has, she’s a complete dingbat who probably dodn’t even know where the hell she was. And then this baby talk voice, the vocal fry, good God my 11 year old neice sounds more mature, all that was missing was a big lollipop in her hand. And the states of confusion “I don’t understand the question waah, I don’t understand words with more than 5 letters” and all the things she can’t remember, are they kidding with this crap? She can’t even remember last week and they expect us to believe what she thinks happened almost 40 years ago? And Republicans can go F themselves, nothing but a bunch of Eunuchs hiding behind a female prosecutor while slimebags like Blumenthal propped this dingbat up like a hero, absolutely disgusting and pathetic

Most of us have got his wrong. It is widely believed that the thumbs up gesture originates from the gladiatorial fights of ancient Rome, in which the destiny of a losing gladiator was decided by the crowd. Thumbs up, he lived, thumbs down -he died. If this is what you believe – then you would be wrong, and here’s why.

Thumbs down, signified “swords down,” which meant the losing gladiator was worth more to them alive and was to be spared to fight another day.

Common error.

“Give me a break with this woman, I don’t care how many degrees she has”

She was asked why she did not contact someone on Capital hill instead of going to the media and she said she didn’t know how. Good grief, really?

“How about a Poll to see if Grassley will ever realize he’s being played like Fiddle.”

His opening statement was embarrassing. He came across as senile, a doddering old fool.

Everyone that called in to C-Span said they didn’t believe Dr Ford... they kept trying to cut each one off after they stated that Ford wasn’t believable, but the next caller said the same thing...lol it was hysterical... they finally had to cut to Durbin

She’s hazy and unsure of numerous facts, including whether she shared psychiatric transcripts with the Washington Post, but she’s certain it was Kavenaugh all those years ago in an alcohol induced fog.

At the least they should have waited until she completed actual testimony - unless their intent was for a control for a followup (which it clearly wasn’t). Her letter was a suggestion of an accusation, but so incomplete that it didn’t constitute an actual accusation which could be reasonably “believed”.

A detailed accusation should have been required before entertaining any of this circus. Instead, she was presented as a Rorschach, and used as a pawn.

I will say, she appears to believe what she is saying, even if 1) she appears to be imputing intent, and 2) there appear to be some serious problems with consistency with reality.

This is a poorly worded survey.

You you find her credible?

YES

NO

NOT SURE

If you are not sure whether or not you find her credible, you do not find her credible. In order to get a accurate picture of who does and does not find her credible, the (YES) number should be compared to the (NO + NOT SURE) number

How credible do you find the New York Times?
1. All lies.
2. Damned lies.
3. Plagiarism.

WHO SHOULD BE FIRED FOR THIS!

If they can’t understand the gravity of a teenage keg party groping incident from 35 years ago, then they need to go.

WHY?

Why is it a matter of an apology to ask if someone accusing another person is credible? Are some people, particularly those with 2 X chromosomes, incapable of lying, and the NYT somehow missed this in formulating its question?

WTF, over??????
