I was out and got in my car and caught the end of this, but confused about what exactly happened. I was surprised to hear DiChi sounding so ignorant. (How long have you been a Senator, DiChi? Don’t you know what an amendment is?) What’s up with this 2 hour rule thing?

Tuning in to just the end of this, I was far more confused than the Ds were!

Speaking of memes, last night I saw a meme posted on FB by a college friend who was actually in my wedding but we’ve not kept in touch. She lives in Austin so surprise, she is liberal. It was stupid. Kavanaugh’s face in three different frames on one side and a possum’s on the other in similar expressions. So immature and irrelevant. I unfollowed the woman because I wanted to comment how dumb but noone responded to her so I thought let it go and not get more publicity. I wonder at the memes I have liked that are probably dumb so I want to be more careful.

They intend to deter normal people from serving in Republican administrations, or accepting appointments from Republican presidents, or, ultimately, from identifying themselves with the Republican party. Given that strategy, the fact that they are smearing a man of obviously sterling character on absurdly flimsy grounds is not a bug, it is a feature.

As this is all Shakespeare in the Park, do we know that the FBI has NOT been investigating this in the background since DiFiChiSpy received the letter or before? Or, that NoSuchAgency hasn’t been capturing the chatter between people involved who maybe are being watched (under FISA warrant)?

The ‘one week’ limitation seems strange, and I don’t think Trump would come out with that if he didn’t already have the results in his back pocket.

Appreciate the play by play on the Flake thing and the vote. I heard it on Rush but your report slowed it down and added visual perspective. It does appear more positive then I first heard. I am intrigued with the idea the vote might be approaching the new Oct 3 test date also. Seems the vote and that test might be linked. Maybe not but still interesting.
