There might be a couple of extra parsecs between future Star Wars films.

Disney CEO Bob Iger has confirmed there will be a 'slowdown' of its Star Wars output, following disappointing returns on the Solo standalone.

'I made the timing decision, and as I look back, I think the mistake that I made — I take the blame — was a little too much, too fast,' he admitted to The Hollywood Reporter.

So how come the Marvel division of Disney had two record setting movies released just weeks apart? No the problem is except for "Rogue One" the new Star Wars have been mediocre at best. Fire Kathleen Kennedy, drop the Social Justice Warrior crap, get rid of the Mary Sue, no more ridiculous plot holes, and get back to the basics.

There is no such thing as franchise fatigue when you are true to your fan base. I’d watch a Star Wars movie religiously every six months if the quality was equal to episodes 4-6. Last Jedi was so effin horrible that I stayed away from Solo like the plague. I will stay away from Episode IX as well.

Twenty years ago I would have been respected as a fan. Today, I’m mocked and denigrated as a white male by these directors and producers at Lucas. You want my money? Scrub your team of anyone who utters the word SJW, then make movies that are free of your alphabet of sexual orientations and themes, and get back to good old fashioned space fantasy.

It isn’t that complicated when you are willing the face the true reason your sales are in the dumpster.

I am amazed they didn’t portray Solo as a born-female who went tranny.

The SW franchise is OVER. They at best will break even on the rest of the movies since they dare NOT abandon being SJWs. There will not be another male hero in the future. Ever.

Soylo was the first Star Wars movie I did not go to the theater to see; the animation movie does not count. As a Generation Xer, I am the prime target for these movies but Kathleen Kennedy and company have done nothing but insult me.

The original Star Wars was based on the heroes of the Wars of Independence. Instead of pursuing a heroic, noble and patriotic story in this vein the makers of the new films decided that they would promote Marxism

That picture with all the women is what mystifies me. Here's the thing: Last Jedi was created by SJW women, but the women in the film are all made to look ugly and gender neutral, at best. My view is that a true feminist (someone who wants women to be on par with men, but not better) would make a film where women are positive counterpoints to men. Po could have easily had a female wingman. The two could have competed for the most kills. Make Rey look like an empowered female warrior, not a 12 year old boy in rags the whole movie. Take off the helmet of Phasma so you could tell she was a pretty woman.

There are just so many things I hated about that movie, but this is one that sticks with me. All these women in charge, and they have no idea how to create positive female role models on the screen. Makes me wonder how broken they all must be behind the scenes.

Idiot blames Solo and not TLJ which is what killed it. Then blames the audience for having too much Star Wars instead of the shoddy work Kathleen Kennedy has done with the franchise.

He’s also defending starting alcohol sales in Disneyland which Walt was adamantly opposed to.

Disney forgot who their audience was. Male nerd teenagers don't want to watch social justice warriors implementing social justice. They also don't want to watch women, unless the women are wearing Jabba's palace slave costumes.

Bigger guns, more explosions, gross aliens, spaceships blowing things up, hotshot male space fighter pilot gunslingers looking cool and saying cool things. That's what their target audience is looking for.

Otherwise, they might as well call the movies "Pillows and Scented Candles", and feature a buncha socially woke chicks wondering why men simply just couldn't be a more hairy version of women.

Tisn't rocket science. I suspect that the "extra time" will be used to clean house, clean management, and re-tool their writing department. Disney is in it for the money, after all.
