What I’ve always found confusing are the cute little modified curse-words that people come up with and people’s reaction to them.
For instance, if you write
asshole
some idiot is apt to get mortally offended and go on a crusade against the evils of hearing words they don’t personally approve of.
However, if you write
@sshole - which is READ exactly like “asshole,” that’s perfectly acceptable.
Which tell me it isn’t the WORD (or any number of similar words) which offend these people, but the fact that someone is actually SAYING them. That, to me, is as irrational as anything the leftist thought police have come up with, and I refuse to play that game.
