California professor speaks out about her allegation of sexual assault
The Washington Post ^ | September 16, 2018 | Emma Brown

Posted on 09/16/2018 10:46:52 AM PDT by Trump20162020

Earlier this summer, Christine Blasey Ford wrote a confidential letter to a senior Democratic lawmaker alleging that Supreme Court nominee Brett M. Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her more than three decades ago, when they were high school students in suburban Maryland. Since Wednesday, she has watched as that bare-bones version of her story became public without her name or her consent, drawing a blanket denial from Kavanaugh and roiling a nomination that just days ago seemed all but certain to succeed.

Now, Ford has decided that if her story is going to be told, she wants to be the one to tell it.

Speaking publicly for the first time, Ford said that one summer in the early 1980s, Kavanaugh and a friend — both “stumbling drunk,” Ford alleges — corralled her into a bedroom during a gathering of teenagers at a house in Montgomery County.

While his friend watched, she said, Kavanaugh pinned her to a bed on her back and groped her over her clothes, grinding his body against hers and clumsily attempting to pull off her one-piece bathing suit and the clothing she wore over it. When she tried to scream, she said, he put his hand over her mouth.

“I thought he might inadvertently kill me,” said Ford, now a 51-year-old research psychologist in northern California. “He was trying to attack me and remove my clothing.”

From the article: "Notes from an individual therapy session the following year, when she was being treated for what she says have been long-term effects of the incident, show Ford described a “rape attempt” in her late teens."

No mention that she named Kavanaugh in therapy notes...also her timeline puts her about 15 years old not in her late teens.

DiFi held on to the letter because it was their last, desperate line of defense against Kavanagh.

So apparently everything you did (or are alleged to have done) in High School is fair game now?

If this is true:

The woman said he TRIED to take off her clothing. He obviously failed to take off her clothing or the WASHINGTON POST would have screamed that fact in the headline. NO CLOTHING WAS REMOVED. "Thinking" someone wants to take off your clothes is NOT a crime ON THE PART OF the person who DID NOT TAKE OFF ANY CLOTHING.

Then we have to remember the source. The WASHINGTON POST never NEVER NEVER cared a wit about credible rape charges against Bill Clinton.

Paula Jones didn't 'think' Bill Clinton wanted to expose himself to her after having the State Police bring her to his hotel room. No, Clinton DID expose himself to her. Juanita Broaddrick didn't 'imagine' Bill Clinton was 'thinking about' raping her. CLINTON DID RAPE HER.

So-called 'journalists' at the Washington Post are known for extreme bias that favors democrats and hurts Republicans. How do I know this? I 'feel' they would rip our clothes off if they could... /s

Paul Ryan is speaker of the house; the house has nothing to do with the confirmation of S/C justices.

You mean, of course, that what you stated was the DNC narrative for explaining their obviously manufactured attack on a perfectly good nominee, right?

A stable confident person would would remember it as a crazy party that they should never have attended, be happy it went no farther and let it go as one of those things that we learn from and will never happen again.

Precisely. A 15-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy, alone at a party, alcohol involved (and no chaperones?). She was lucky things went no further. She should just shake the dust off her feet and get on with her life.

Late teens would be college years. You would remember if something took place at a high school party or at college.

15? How did she get to the party?
And who else was with her? Girls
this age, when being promiscuous,
very rarely are alone in their
endeavours. There’s some one out
there who can refute these allegations.

Nice hit job piece in a last ditch Hale Mary. Strange how that happens when the whinny side doesn’t get their way. On the other hand they are working overtime to derail anything that would shed a bright light on the Trumpster rather than do what is right for the country.

The Professor is in Anna Eshoo’s (D - Atherton) district.

CA-18.

There’s a bunch of schools in that district.

Like Stanford.

Folks this little caper will backfire on the entire Democrat Party. The Democrats are in such a fully insane panic mode, they will do anything, destroy anyone, because they well now that if Trump’s Republicans keep majority control in both Houses of Congress on election day, November 6, 2018, the Democrat Party is politically dead for many years to come.

This is their “Ace-In-The-Hole” play, their last shot, their last chance to take Justice Kavanaugh down and deny him a place on the USA Supreme court. Well...it won’t work.

Not only will it not work, but...it will backfire on the Democrats in many ways. First the Democrats knew about this or contrived it last July and then held this fake news as their last chance ploy to stop Kavanaugh from reaching the Supreme Court.

The Republicans will move the nomination for a vote by the entire Senate who will affirm Kavanaugh, The guys & gals that have the vote problem will be those ten Democrats in the Trump Red states that are running for re-election. They lose, not matter what they do by either voting for or against Kavanaugh.

If they vote for Kavanaugh to be confirmed, the Democrat voters hate them. If they do the opposite, vote against Kavanaugh, then Republican voters hate them, they lose their seats either way.

If I were McConnell...I would go through pushing the vote to the Senate floor as planned, and win two ways, confirming Kavananugh and keeping the U.S. Senate in Republican control. The Democrats in their madness have screwed themselves, royally.

The other guy, Mark Judge, already strongly denied it. Plus her therapist's notes, from 2012, said there were four guys involved, now she's saying two.

Yikes - The therapist's notes were made 30 after the alleged event!

Hardly contemporary proof.

And did she identify him by name in those notes? If she did, why would she tell her therapist his name in California 30 years later? And if she didn’t, why would anyone think it applied to him, just because she now conveniently says so.
