Tex, you filled that Qloset with stuff you got from Fibber McGee’s garage sale, right? He had a deal on the “closet lot” and you said “hmmm...sounds like a lot of fun, I’ll take it!” right? LOL!
Out in the Qarage we don’t need no closets, we just put everything on shelves because...face it. Some of the guys are having memory issues...so everything just sits out for easy finding. Of course, this method is not fool proof. I’ve been looking for a certain cable and disk since Wednesday. I’m rather making a mess of it, of course. I pull stuff out, go thru a box or 7, and then there’s THAT mess to clean up. I haven’t seen the top of my workbench since Wednesday!!
I’m about ready to give up on the computer and start working on my shield. I found my laser sights!!! Woo hoo!! I knew I got them years ago, and then I put them “in a safe place so I wouldn’t lose them”...and of course, lost them.
I know Kiwi the Wonder Dog and sschev have been barking a lot, sorry about that. We have a bear in the neighborhood. The dogs are doing their part as no one has a license...yet! So, I think this week we’ll have a “free sale” in the Qarage. We’ll be clearing out some stuff...just putting it in black trash bags. We’ll leave it right by the door, so whomever stops by will feel free to take a bag of treasures with them on their way into the Quanteen. Cos, you know, your Qloset is sounding kinda empty-you do know that if you stuff enough stuff in there, you won’t have to worry about stuff shifting around! Oh and could you save me some popcorn? I’ve got a hankering for caramel corn, it’s the only way I really like popcorn. I promise, I’ll clean up the mess and share with all!

Ye gods! Is THAT who had all that great stuff????!!!! It was one of the best garage sales I ever went to! They had EVERYTHING we need here at the Qanteen! Shovels, packs, ropes, hoses...and some other stuff too. And you are right: It WAS a GREAT deal! Yuuuge!
I fully sympathize about keeping order in the Qarage. You are a wizard at keeping your tools in good condition. How brilliant that you thought of the open shelf concept for it....but I know how hard it is to keep the flat places flat. Finding stuff is like playing with a massive Rubik’s cube: move this and then it changes everything before you can move the thing you WANTED to move or excavate in the first place! You had the Qarage in perfect condition for the party just before Labor Day. It can all get disordered so quickly!
I’m so glad you found your laser sights. I have so many “safe places” the Salvation Army should give me an award! I am convinced that the Qanteen has its own black hole. It sucks stuff in, and then after the emergency of looking for a particular object is over, it cleverly spits it back out right into the spot you searched already forty eleven times.
The Qanteen Dawgs have not bothered me at all, blu. They add a lot to the place, as I know you know! Hmmmm I had not realized we had a bear prowler. No wonder the Qanteen Qatz’s fur was all standing up like they collectively put their tongues in the light socket. I’ll call the Ranger Station and alert them. I’m sure they will have some good advice for us. My guess is that they’ll trap it and move it further into the wilderness areas. In the meantime, we’ve got to be vigilant about our trash and dumpster areas. I’ll ask Darlin to take me to town in a little while to get some bear proof containers. We certainly don’t want to feed them!

I knew you were an innovative genius. Of COURSE shoving in more stuff would solve the shifting problem completely.... but as you have so beautifully pointed out it can become an issue FINDING stuff! So perhaps we in the Qanteen might join you with the offloading of extras at the side walk. Then we’ll see just how much comes back to us! My guess is that the Qanteeners are not going to let us say goodbye to much, Blu. I’m just glad we have a couple of extra sheds.... and room to build more! Greeneyes was hinting around for another greenhouse the other day. She has started putting plants into the indoor swimming pool area, which IS a kind of greenhouse, and it’s lovely, but she really does need more room for the plants to overwinter.

Don’t worry about the mess - I’ll take care of that with the other Qitchen Qooks. However, we do have a Qitchen Qart, with a broken wheel, and I was I hoping you could help with fixing it. In fact, that is why I’m out here!
*Blu grins and nods, and follows texokie back into the Qanteen Qitchen to get the Qitchen Qart. While blu is examining the Kart, texokie melts several bags of Kraft Caramels in the double boiler. Blu snags a couple of caramels. Texokie grabs some apples to wash and put popsicle sticks into for caramel apples too, while she’s at making the caramel corn. Then she puts on fresh pots of Qovfefe and popcorn. Blu takes the Qitchen Qart and and heads back out to the Qarage.
*texokie sticks her head out the door and hollers after blu:*

*As she bustles around, texokie hears the dulcet tones of the Steinweigh. Cletus has come in to practice on it. It seems blu had stacked a bunch of stuff around his upright piano (but not on it - Heaven forfend!), making it impossible to get to...and so he is playing his very best rinky tink for all inside the Qanteen. The shows continue, both Cletus’s and Q’s, and we are learning so much here in the Qanteen*
