A police officers' interest group is calling for their more than 241,000 members and families to boycott Nike products following the release of the company's Colin Kaerpernick ad.
The National Association of Police Organizations sent a letter to Nike's CEO Mark Parker telling them 'We are calling on all our member officers, their families and friends to join in boycotting all Nike products.'

“I would boycott Nike too but I have not wore or purchased a Nike product for over 30 years.”
ditto. i never had a Nike fit no matter how many different ones i tried on. Of all the brands, Nike was worst for comfort for me. ASICS are the only ones that have footbeds that feel truly comfortable to me ...

I think I had a pair of Nike shoes about 25 years ago. Sadly, I wore a shirt with a company logo today and realized that it was a Nike shirt. There was no way to cover the Nike logo on the sleeve. Sad.

I've never bought or owned a single Nike product, so I guess my personal boycott would be meaningless. I've gotta wonder, however, what corporate birdbrains thought this Kaepernick honorarium was a smart marketing move.
I mean, with all the controversy that guy started with the NFL, you'd think they would have considered him to be radioactive. Could they really be so uninformed, that they were clueless about the sort of reaction this would cause?
Or, are they so committed to left-liberal idealism that they're willing to destroy their company to be 'down with the struggle'?

Someone in NIKE decided the whole company should take a knee to America because we are a racist country where cops kill Black people
Since no one on their knees has offered any tangible solution I suppose their attitude is permanent
I call this lose-lose marketing
Will make an interesting case study in business schools
Meanwhile I'm glad I'm not a stockholder!

I have been wearing New Balance since the 90s. I think I have some socks with the Nike swoosh on them, that’s all I have. Oh, and a Nike football jersey but I’m pretty sure my wife bought that from china so technically it’s not really Nike.

I bought some Nikes for my workout shoes last year. I’ll keep them but when they wear out, I’ll replace them with something else.
And I’ll never again buy anything from Nike.

Impact will be felt at Police Athletic Leagues. Awful lot of cops pull money out their own pocket to make sure the kids have a pair of shoes.
