American denim giant Levi Strauss & Co. announced Tuesday that it is launching a series of new initiatives to benefit groups working to prevent gun violence.
Levi Strauss CEO and President Chip Bergh wrote it Fortune on Tuesday that the company simply cannot stand by silently when it comes to issues that threaten the very fabric of the communities where we live and work.
You may wonder why a company that doesnt manufacture or sell guns is wading into this issue, but for us, its simple, Bergh wrote. Americans shouldnt have to live in fear of gun violence. Its an issue that affects all of us all generations and all walks of life.

Well, we can’t stand your pants any more, Levi.
Levi Strauss has long been on my ban lists- LGBTWHAEVER supporters, Same Sex Marriage supporters, Islam supporters, anti-Second Amendment, Planned Parenthood and selling of baby body parts.
Levi jeans can be used to strangle people.
Ain’t giving up My 501s!
There apparently only 9 USA made Denim brands, and they “ain’t” cheap. However, they might last as long as the owners if the owners aren’t teenagers.

Three years ago this same guy, Bergh, was CEO when he asked all of Levi Strauss's customers not to bring firearms into the company's retail stores. At the time, it was blamed on a negligent discharge incident that occurred in one of their stores (the CHL holder injured himself, probably in a fitting room).
Reading between the lines, though, Bergh wasn't just acting to protect his employees and customers - he was researching these boycotts and betting that the impact to the company's bottom line would be short-lived. Essentially, he thinks the virtue signaling comes at an acceptable price.
With today's interconnected world, he may find that the old models no longer hold true.
My wife’s brother was murdered with a knife.
I feel and morn with you.
I bought these 501s over 10 yrs ago.
“I like the fit and will admit the style was ok.”
Meh. Each country who manufactures them sizes them differently. Style = OK. I did find some stretch Levi “jeggings” for 20 bucks recently on Amazon. They are not extremely bad for the price, but of course are not actual “jeans”.
more whores for the left.
BOYCOTT
Go out and buy a pair of jeans from someone else, mail them a copy of the receipt, and tell them why you will never buy their jeans before.
Weren’t they involved with some pedophilic
Advertising a while back??
Get Woke, Go broke.
Guess I’ll be buying something other than Levis.
Kirkland jeans last way longer than their crap does these days anyway.
Suck it Levi. Don’t care.
And Costco will take back ridiculous exchanges. Almost as bad as Sears and their lifetime Toughskins guarantee.
My mom bought us like 3 pairs of pants total in the 70’s I think.
Every time they didn’t fit, they had a hole in them....and got returned for a pair that fit.
Costco will take back and exchange a 2 year old lightbulb just because the box says 3 year guarantee.
Yeah. Levis. Say hi to Sears and Bloomingtons and all the other relics.
You don’t matter. Stop trying to make a silly political statement. It’s not going to help. You still don’t matter.
Damn. Wish I had me some twitter. I’d cook their Twitter guy alive.
Sorry *cough*
Can’t see replies from all the smoking piles of burning Nikes.
With you 100%. Plus the quality is often better!
carhartts here.
These asses really dont know their market.
Alienate one half of their public. Go ahead!
NOW Levi Strauss is acting like a bunch of Dick’s! That is, like Dick’s Sporting Goods, if you recall.
