Our family favorite was their Vienna Fingers. They had to be rationed or we would have eaten them all the first day.

“I dont purchase Mexican made food of any kind”
In most of the USA if you ever go out for dinner then I can assure you that your food is probably Mexican made.
“My favorite from Sunshine Biscuit Co. was the Golden Nuggets.”
I remember Sunshine Biscuit made a thin raisin cookie that was awesome and then one day they started making it with the same dough as animal crackers. Not long after they went out of business.
The raisin cookies were amazing!
I always thought it was an odd brand name for cookies in that it brings to mind compounds like sodium hydroxide--which is most definitely not associated with confections.
I doubt that. I don't buy Hecho En Mexico cookies either.
Mexicans work in an awful lot of restaurants all over the USA.

I actually wrote Nabisco once pleading that now was the time to bring back Kettle Cookies. The wrote back with the meanest form reply that listed their cookies that were no longer made and said that they were permanently discontinued. The tone of the letter was snotty and this was before they went Mexican.

Yes, and that is WHY it fell so far behind Oreos.
Thanks for the others names. Can still remember the tastes.
They all were great but do either of you remember a square chocolate cover graham?
Tomorrow, is my late Brothers 86 Birthday.
Ah, many Memories!

Nobody ever called a black Conservative a Hydrox.
When did you work for me?
My employees did this for my birthday one year.
I vaguely remember a chocolate covered graham. It may have been their chocolate fudge cookie.
Sunshine brands that have been discontinued:
Chip-A-Roos
Chocolate Nugget cookies
Chocolate Fudge Cookies
Lemon Coolers
Golden Raisin Biscuits
Golden Fruit Biscuits.
Texan Foods LLC bought these Sunshine brands in 2016:
Lemon Coolers (cookies)
Yum Yums (coconut caramel cookies)
Hi Ho Crackers
Sunshine Nut Sundae marshmallow cookie
The Lemon Coolers were good. My granny loved their Golden Fruit Bars.
We usually bought the Hi-Ho crackers and Krispy saltines because they were just a bit cheaper than the other brands.
Diabetes in a bag!
Lucky you! :)
I always liked Hydrox better than Oreos. Not that I had much choice with my depression era skinflint parents. Lol.
Agreed. Hydrox was better. If I could find them Id buy them.
