Grandma’s Pit Bull Mauls Toddler: Child Second Kid Victim of ‘Vicious’ Dog
My News La ^ | August 5, 2018 | Contributing Editor

An 18-month-old girl suffered serious wounds to her face when she was mauled by her grandmother’s pit bull — the second time the same dog attacked a child, officials said Sunday.

The toddler was hospitalized, and may have also suffered an injury to one of her eyes in the attack.

The dog had attacked a child two years ago, and was released under strict conditions to its owner, the grandmother. This time, she ordered the dog killed.

The attack was at 7:40 p.m. Friday at a Riverside home on Fern Avenue in the Casa Blanca neighborhood, said Riverside County Department of Animal Services spokesman John Welsh.

The 11-year-old pit bull, Patron, had previously bitten and seriously injured another of the owner’s grandchildren in March of 2016, and the department had sought an order to put the dog down then but was denied in an administrative hearing, Welsh said.

However, the dog was declared vicious by the county, meaning that the owner had to follow certain control measure, such as keeping the dog in a secure enclosure.

“This owner should have reasonably known this dog posed a danger to a small child,” said Animal Services Director Robert Miller in a statement. “After a dog is deemed vicious, it is absolutely reckless if the owner does not take the mandated steps to protect family members — and the general public.”

The owner surrendered the dog to animal services for euthanasia, said Welsh. Whether charges would be filed against the owner would be decided later. Grandma’s Pit Bull Mauls Toddler: Child Second Kid Victim of ‘Vicious’ Dog was last modified: August 6th, 2018 by Contributing Editor

It is to be devoutly hoped that the children do not have significant life insurance policies taken out on them for which the beneficiary is the grandmother.

Well, I’m sure he’s dead by now. So sorry the little grandbaby has what have to be painful injuries. The grandmother is really stupid for letting little kids interact, probably unsupervised, with a pit bull, especially an 11 year old one, which is probably cranky with age.

Second time?! That dog should have been put down after the first. Truly the breed should have been put down entirely long ago. Grandma should now go to jail.

Sorry, these are not natural, God-created, dogs.

These are mutants spawned by evil men.

Every pit bull in the country should be executed

With a global population of 7 billion (and, I’m guessing, a global dog population of at least 15 billion?) there is always going to be some gruesome story for that website.

I was thinking “White Trash” until I saw the dog was named “Patron”. Now I’m guessing “Brown Trash”. No name or age given for the granny.

They do say owners will often pick pets that look like them or they can identify with. I’m glad this particular dog was finally put down. Better late than never.

From your previous post:

“Juan Jimenez, 37, turned over his three male pit bulls, Patron, age 2, Crunch, 4, and Travieso, 11 months, and a 6-year-old female named Toast.

They were taken to the county shelter in Bonita and immediately euthanized, DeSousa said.”
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

This is obviously not the same dog.

Many dogs in America used to be named for royalty: Rex, King, Queenie, Duke, Duchess, Prince, Princess, Sir This or That, etc . . .

Now I see many pets these days named for food.

“Ban pitbulls, AR-15s, SUVs, and climate change NOW!!!!”

AR15s and SUVs do not operate without a human at the controls. Human caused climate change is not real.
That leaves pitbulls and yes, they need to be rubbed out.
