There is a special sort of irony in the idea that some abortion advocates want to protect their children by keeping pro-abortion legislation in place.
With midterm elections coming up this fall, Boise Weekly published a column chronicling the “fight” that abortion advocates have supposedly endured in trying to keep abortion rights intact. Many abortion advocates are fearful of President Donald Trump’s nomination to the U.S. Supreme Court, Brett Kavanaugh.
“We take Trump at his word that Brett Kavanaugh would overturn Roe v. Wade,” said Jennifer Allen, CEO of Planned Parenthood Votes Northwest and Hawaii. “This nomination puts Roe v. Wade in jeopardy.”
Allen discussed why she continues to advocate for abortion.
“Generations of people have grown up only knowing a country where they have the right to access safe, legal abortions,” Allen said. “We cannot allow our children and grandchildren to have fewer rights than we do today.”
The interesting thing about Allen’s statement is that thousands of unborn children lose their lives daily to abortion. So many generations of babies have lost their fundamental right to life under Roe v. Wade, and with that, they have lost the opportunities to exercise their other basic rights and freedoms. Through this procedure that Allen and abortion advocates seek to protect, they have denied about 60 million boys and girls their intrinsic rights.
The Boise Weekly article also mentioned that Planned Parenthood offers other services aside from abortion. The article boasted that in the past 12 months, more than 8,600 patients have walked through the doors of Planned Parenthood centers in Boise, Meridian and Twin Falls.
However, the number of abortion procedures Planned Parenthood performs have only gone up, while other women’s health services, such as breast cancer screenings, pap tests and colonoscopy procedures have decreased in the past decade, according to an analysis of Planned Parenthood’s annual reports by the Radiance Foundation.
Thankfully, Idaho is a state that has been taking many measures in recent months to protect all life. In March, Gov. C.L. Otter signed state House Bill 638 into law, which establishes a new state reporting system to track abortion complications and other abortion-related data in Idaho.
Another law that he signed this year was Senate Bill 1243, which updated the state’s informed consent packet so that women will know they may change their mind about a chemical abortion half-way through the two-drug technique, known as the Abortion Pill Reversal.
These laws will help save unborn babies’ lives until the day when Roe v. Wade finally is overturned and the power to fully protect unborn babies’ lives is returned to the states.

Hard to have any rights when you’ve been murdered and thrown out in the trash by a medical lynch mob that your so-called mother hired.
Every so often I’ve half seriously said that we should require abortionist to burn little crosses in front of the unborn before they go in for the kill as a way to illustrate the lynching aspect.
Hard to give fewer rights to a murdered baby, isn’t it?
