You know the padlock privacy icon that used to be at the top of your Facebook page? Well, it's gone. No more option to close an account. Swell.
It’s there. You need to click on “Your Facebook Information” it’s underneath “Security and Login”

Wait until they require ID from you. You have to send them a photo ID (and of course your personal info along with it).
I isn’t enforced regularly but with what happened last week it would not surprise me if they start enforcing it for all new accounts.

How many other people here under 45 don’t have a Facebook account?
I just deleted it. It was confusing, and I’m not sure it is gone for good, but when I selected the facebook icon it required me to install an update, so I didn’t.
If you have an Android OS, if they do an update, it will be back......................
Just post pro-Trump, anti-Hillary messages, pro-freedom and Zuckerberg will delete your account without the need for a “delete” button.
Just trash FB on your page and they’ll do it for you.

The warning signs were there for me from the get go. And since I had to use it for promoting my business as an artist, it played all sorts of deceptive games to keep me paying when I thought I had not set it up to do so. Then you would spend money to build something professionally and they'd pull the rug out from under you and all your investment turned to dust pretty much.
They are very tricky and deceptive (and that is being kind as criminal is more fitting.)
User beware. I barely use them and only update anything on my site when I have a public event. It's a great tool to locally inform and attract people to events. But otherwise I'd delete.
I have an Android tablet.
What I did was take all the icons I don’t use and don’t want to see on my screen and created a folder to put them all in, so that they cannot escape.................
Log on with PC (or full browser...not mobile).
Did you click down arrow (on the right side)?
Choose settings.
Then on left “Your facebook info...”
