At least I can delete the app on my phone. Without that, I can just ignore that it exists. :)

Depends on the phone. Some you cant, you just “disable” the app.

I had to create an account for work today. It let me, however when I tried to verify it was me creating the account, the site had a ‘DB error’ and said come back later.
I posted early to find out if anyone else had run into this. If people are also not able to create accounts, that’s pretty big news.
To deactivate your Facebook account;
Click the account menu down arrow at the top right of any Facebook page in your web browser.
Select ‘Settings’
Choose ‘General’ in the left column.
Click ‘Manage your account’
Press ‘Deactivate your account’, and then follow the steps to confirm your decision.
I think I’m the only person who doesn’t have a Facebook account.
If you get an update or reset, it will be there................
An avalanche of people deleting their accounts has not been good for advertising revenue

I was put in FB jail for 30 days, and I used the time to cancel 2 orders I had place with companies I had found through FB ads. And I told them why.
Still think FB is free?

You have to “log in” and click the “let us know”.
Then you have to click through multiple “do you really really want to do this” pages.
In recognition that that button never did anything anyway....(you can check out any time you like but you can never leave).
