FORT JACKSON, SC (WIS) - A colonel at Fort Jackson was one of more than 30 people arrested in an online predator sting operation led by the Richland County Sheriff's Department.
According to Richland County investigators, Fernando Guadalupe, Jr., was charged with solicitation. According to the U.S. Army website, Guadalupe assumed command of the Leader Training Brigade at Fort Jackson in January 2017.
Fort Jackson issued a statement to WIS saying:
We are aware of the allegations of sexual misconduct by a Soldier assigned to Fort Jackson. The Soldier has been suspended from his duties pending the outcome of the investigation. We are fully cooperating with local authorities of the Richland County, SC Sheriff's Department. The Fort Jackson leadership takes these allegations seriously. Sexual misconduct is inconsistent with Army values and the Army profession. For information regarding this case, please contact the Richland County Sheriff's office.
Guadalupe was one of 38 people arrested in the Richland County Sheriff's Department's "Operation Full Armor," where the arrests range from prostitution to the solicitation of a minor.
The colonel's charge is not associated with minors.
WIS has reached out to the Richland County Sheriff's Department for more information on Guadalupe's arrest and hasn't received a response.
Video at the link indicates he was soliciting prostitutes.
SC Ping?
He was just trying to impress people with his full bird.
So what? Should be a 100 buck fine.
There are Colonels and there are Colonels, you can also say there are Presidents and there are Presidents. If the allegations are true kick his ass out, conduct unbecoming as an officer. Bye!
Thats enough for me.
In the Philipines with the Navy, this would have been called “sending aide to a foreign allie” and saluted and moved along....
Sounds like the military will deal with him.
Here is what the UCMJ says:
Maximum punishment
(1) Prostitution and Patronizing a Prostitute. Dishonorable discharge, forfeiture of all pay and allowances, and confinement for 1 year.
(2) Pandering. Dishonorable discharge, forfeiture of all pay and allowances, and confinement for 5 years.
On local news a lot of these pillars of the community were youth leaders, soccer coaches, Boy Scout leaders, etc.
Hope they get the book thrown at them for violating the trust given to them.
pan·der (păn′dər) intr.v. pan·dered, pan·der·ing, pan·ders
1. To act as a go-between or liaison in sexual intrigues; function as a procurer.
2. To cater to the lower tastes and desires of others or exploit their weaknesses: "He refused to pander to nostalgia and escapism" (New York Times).
In other words...a pimp.

He needed prositutes??
There was some liberal source complaining about but enough Hispanics in military leadership... Maybe this is why?
Female or male prostitutes?
“(1) Prostitution and Patronizing a Prostitute. Dishonorable discharge, forfeiture of all pay and allowances, and confinement for 1 year.”
Can you imagine if that were ever enforced?
> The colonel’s charge is not associated with minors.
He’s being charged with participating in a voluntary transaction between two consenting adults, then? Seems almost libelous to imply he is a “predator” if that is the case.
Low life ignorant piece of shit.
Do soldiers wear headgear indoors now?
