Panicked Twinkies lovers lost their minds when Hostess shut down in 2012. Thankfully, the company made a swift and sweet comeback, with an assist by TODAY's Al Roker, in 2013. But now another classic sweets factory has shuttered and it's unclear whether it will be bouncing back anytime soon. Necco, the maker of divisive, chalky treats, has bitten the dust and closed its factory on Tuesday. This week, devoted fans of all of the company's sweets are scrambling to find their favorite treats amid the sudden closure

My company gave everyone a roll of these to celebrate our first wafer.
Use to eat them when we were kids. But like most things that were available when I was young, aren’t now. I used to love Clove Lifesavers, but they don’t make them anymore. I liked Milkshake candy bars. They were great frozen too. Recently I got a craving for a Nestle’s Milk Chocolate bar, and when I couldn’t find them, I wrote the company. They only make them in miniature size, and they’re only available in packages with Crunch, Baby Ruth and Butterfinger miniatures. I’m not supposed to eat nuts, and I’m not crazy about peanut butter and chocolate together. Most of the stores today carry a majority of Mars candy products...very little variety of Nestle’s.
Get them while they’re still available at your local Cracker Barrel. Seems every one I’ve visited has had them.
They make great ‘roofing tiles’ for your Christmastime gingerbread house.
Hostess came back, but the quality is gone.
It’s Bimbo now
I recently looked high and low for a Hostess Coconut cream pie,
Fuggedabout it!
Maybe it was Dolly Madison,
Fuggedabout it!
It’s so iconic I never heard of it.
Tastycake is useless, But Little Debby still makes me smile
I love Neccos and I still buy them sometimes at Dollar Tree (the seemingly only chain that still sells Lavoris mouthwash too in the original cinnamon flavor).
Sometimes I’d segregate the brown Neccos and put them at the back of the roll - but that wasn’t because I hated them, it was because I loved them and wanted to have them last.
What are the scofflaws going to use when paying at the toll basket on the Illinois Tollway? Probably will have to switch to Chuck Cheese game tokens.
At least we still have TUMS.
Ever notice how many gaming machines are made in Illinois?
Touche! But 10 times the prices and my tummy still hurts! LOL
