Rene Craighead, 17, of Memphis, Tennessee, estimated she was eating about four bags of the popular hot chip flavors when she began feeling sick to her stomach, reports CBS affiliate WREG-TV. She was taken to the hospital and underwent surgery to remove her gallbladder. Her mother, also named Rene, thinks the spicy snacks had something to do with her health problems.
"She loves them. Every time I go out she says, 'Bring me back some Hot Takis, bring me back some Hot Chips.' I want to make her her happy, so I brought them back. She was eating big bags and would take them to school with her," the mom told WREG-TV.
However, medical experts say gallbladder problems are not caused by eating specific foods. The National Institutes of Health explains, "Being overweight or having obesity may make you more likely to develop gallstones, especially if you are a woman. Researchers have found that people who have obesity may have higher levels of cholesterol in their bile, which can cause gallstones. ... Some studies have shown that people who carry large amounts of fat around their waist may be more likely to develop gallstones."
Dr. Cary Canvender, a gastroenterologist at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital, told WREG-TV..."We do see tons of gastritis and ulcer-related stuff due to it. We probably see around 100 kids a month, easily."

Child abuse.
The devil’s in the details omitted from the article, hinted in part by “eating about four [large] bags” of the offending product (I’m not going to call Cheetos “food”).
Many bagged snacks are now using the combination of MSG and the following “E” numbered corollary flavor enhancer chemicals: Disodium inosinate & disodium guanylate. Cheetos is no exception. Fritos Chili & Cheese chips is another.
When combined, those latter chemicals magnify MSG’s effects by up to 30x. It’s a toxic cocktail for the gut, delivers excitotoxins to the brain and are toxic to other organs. Some people are more sensitive for reasons I’m not going into. Another omitted detail is that I guaran-damn-tee that this girl was overweight. Her gallbladder is just one casualty resulting from her ignorant, enabling mother; more problems will follow, as the gallbladder is more important than doctors believe and it didn’t need to be removed. The girl’s pain was a red flag; removing the gallbladder further enables this girl’s problem.
Read the labels. If you like spicy snacks on occasion, there ARE naturally-flavored snacks cooked in natural fats which don’t poison your body.
ABSOLUTELY PERFECT
I watched it too but was too distracted by moms huge hoop earrings! Bigger than her head..
I think I had a few cheetos once many years ago. Disgusting.
In other words Cheetos are basically vegetable oil that has taken on a crunchy solid form by adding of a bit of corn meal along with salt, spices, and food coloring. But wait, they are not only nutritious, they allow people to leave beautiful oily orange finger prints on everything that they touch. Until now...
Used to live next to a family of extremely obese people. Father, mother and 3 kids, all morbidly obese.
Would watch the kids going to the school bus in the morning eating ice cream bars for breakfast.................
Fat on a Stick!..................Cheese flavored!...............
Those would be the cheapest, smallest. The large ones the mother bought are about 10 oz. each. That’s nine ‘servings’ of 160 calories. Three dollars or more at a c-store.
A 16-ounce bag of spicy Cheetos in one hand, and a pint of cold beer in the other. Well balanced ;-)
You want someone to blame, lady - look in a mirror.
LOL. You know what would make her more happy? Put a little booze in her drink too. Then give her your ATM card and let her take out as much money as she wants to buy whatever she wants.
The girl might also be feeding a half-dozen tapeworms, too.
I understand that tapeworm eggs are incorporated into the spice used in making these “hot” snacks, just as a control measure, doncha know.
Might be a contributing factor in the digestive upset problem, as well.
The mother is an enabler of her child’s eating addiction, and likely as it continued over the years is also responsible for the actual health problems leading to removal of the girls gall bladder.
Since the Left is in charge of the schools and wants to put so much “social” education in the curriculum, they could teach young people that later on as parents their children’s health will be greatly affected by their controlling what and how their children eat. Bad eating habits start early and become entrenched, and cause health problems if they are not stopped before early adulthood.
I also know two young ladies who had their gallbladders removed in their early 20s. Both were otherwise healthy, very active, and had excellent eating habits, and did not excessively use alcohol.
