The fact that the individual in question (the Health Director named Loretta Fuddy) died by drowning, or died in the course of a flight, are namely irrelevant. It is sufficient if that individual is simply unavailable for comment and/or to subsequently retract his or her statement.

This becomes evident when further true, but unnecessarily specified, characteristics are added to your list:

Proportion of drowned Health Directors temporarily visiting Hawaii who are female;

Proportion of drowned Health Directors temporarily visiting Hawaii who are female and had auburn-colored hair;

Proportion of drowned Health Directors temporarily visiting Hawaii who are female and had auburn-colored hair and who were on a flight by Makani Kai Air (as opposed to other airlines);

and so on.

He was confused on which hospital he was born in even though the hospital was right outside his grandparent’s window and he had to walk through the parking lot every day to school. He was confused on his book jacket. His wife was confused when she said Kenya was his homeland. His grandma was confused when she said he passed through her hands when he was born. Gov. Pothead was confused when he couldn’t find the bc and swore “he was there!” The East-West friends of Sr. were confused when they had no idea about Stanley Ann or their bouncing bundle of joy. Stanley Ann’s friend was confused when SA had no clue how to change a diaper. The Kenyan Parliament was confused when they made an entry into their minutes that he was a native son of Kenya and how amazing it was that a Kenyan could become a POTUS.
