The owners of a popular dinner cruise ship in Virginia are being sued by a customer who says the ship's no-skid flooring worked too well.
The plaintiff, 66-year-old Jeffrey Makuch, says he took a cruise on the ship in June 2016 and fell while playing cornhole. He says the no-skid floor made it impossible for him to properly shift his weight while stepping to throw a beanbag.

What an idiot!
Dude should be cornholed.
[[He says the no-skid floor made it impossible for him to properly shift his weight while stepping to throw a beanbag.]]
Why not sue the ship for going to fasts making it impossible to get the exact same amount of air per breath as on land while he’s at it too?
The defense should consist of an accusation that the tread design of his shoes exceeded the traction allowance of the floor specifications. Such conditions should only be attempted by 2 year old toddlers.

Now just 4 days later I hear it for only the second time.
Dr. Kammerer's theories on Synchronicity might have some validity after all.

Seems like the Makuch should have been playing a game more appropriate to his age...
Who held a gun to his head?
Was any other player of either sex as inept?
Old people sometimes fall. Just ax me. I’m 73 and have probably fallen 10-12 times in the last 5 years.
Once INTO the bath tub. I even fell once at Wal- Mart. Nope, I didn’t sue them, I just got my clumsy and bruised a$$ up and walked away.
“Just sayin’ but I had never heard this game referred to as cornhole until this July 4th at a party I attended.
Now just 4 days later I hear it for only the second time.”
That word used to mean something completely different. The current usage defines a game for those too irresponsible for horse shoes or lawn darts.
Rather rude term for such a tame game.
And yes, it is lawn darts for the short bus set.
The falls are not so bad. It’s the landings that hurt!
Dude shouldn’t be playing cornhole in the first place - unless he IS Cornholio!
I thought it's what happened when you bent over to retrieve the beanbag. Include me out. Rather take my chances as a lawn dart catcher.
Actually, the guy suing has a point. Of course a cruise ship isn’t going to have slippery floors, and that might affect normal movement for some activities. Probably should be a warning sign.
I always ask this from bar managers and owners here in South Carolina do the ever worry about guys from San Francisco starting fights when they find out that cornhole wasn’t what they thought it was.
I know how he feels. Years ago, playing basketball, I tried to get back on a fast break after a steal. I turned, started running and got ahead of myself, and stumbled and went down due to the stupid rubber floor we were playing on. The pass sailed past me and went out of bounds. Of course, I heard about that for a long time!
At least the tumble didn’t really hurt since the floor “gave” pretty easily. I did have a skinned knee (the 10,000th of my life at the time).
