A woman in her 20s reportedly lost all of her toenails after allegedly getting a so-called “fish pedicure,” a treatment touted by many as rejuvenating for a person’s feet.
The toothless carp fish – which are plant eaters – voraciously feast on dead human skin.
The woman’s toenails will likely return, but it will take a long time as nails only grow about one millimeter a month on average, Lipner said.

Funny thing is they attacked my feet like hungry piranhas.
My wife? They acted like her feet weren’t even in the water.
She is pretty good about caring for her feet — I guess she does a really good job.

Not me. I have a genetic predisposition to ingrown toe nails. Had all ten surgically removed over ten years ago.

This is wonderful—they call it “Dr. Fish” in Asia. I call BS on their eating her toenails, it can’t happen (unless maybe her toenails were so rotted anyway they just fell off). I love to do this when in Asia—never had a problem.
