They run out of money and need to keep up appearances.

Plus, the applause of the crowds is a helluva drug.................

Interesting origin of “edge of 17” phrase...

“According to Stevie Nicks, the title came from a conversation she had with Tom Petty’s first wife Jane, about the couple’s first meeting. Jane said they met “at the age of seventeen”, but her strong Southern accent made it sound like “edge of seventeen” to Nicks...”

Retire already...

Your talking about folks who pretty much got through life playing music, smoking dope, and living high. Retirement doesn't change much when retirement has been your life.

When I told my wife that my favorite Fleerwood Mac song was Hypnotized she looked at me and said “Huh, what are you talking about?”

Not sure but I think Mike Campbell is with them now.
My opinion - that’s an upgrade.

Buck didn’t wanna tour. Whatchagonnado.

Sound City had a lot to do with FMac’s breakout. I did however prefer Green and Welch’s tenures better. Nicks sings through her nasal passages, and that annoys me. It’s a preference issue on my part.

“Without Lindsay it’s not Fleetwood Mac. “

Absurd.

They were one of the greatest bands of all time BEFORE Buckingham. And all their best albums pre-date him.

They’ll be a better band with him gone.

I remember when Peter Green was central to Fleetwood.
I think I still have a CD featuring Green...

It was a long time ago.

I don’t know where you heard that, but it’s completely false. That album was produced by Jimmy Iovine, and Prince was not involved in any part of it.

And the reason Welch and Green left is because FM was a niche blues band going nowhere. Lindsay Buckingham MADE FM.

This band has been having some version of this same argument about touring for decades. This is just the latest tiff.

Reason enough to give him the boot.
