Does anyone know anything about this, my husband got a card in the mail and went to a presentation. They claim they can get the knee cushion re-grown with a 95% success rate that it works for the people getting the injections. I don't want to throw cold water on his hopes but this is all new to me and I don't know where to start looking. Any info appreciated.
If it doesn’t give improvement, how much of your money are they willing to refund? Likewise, what are the odds of something going wrong and the condition getting worse?
Dont know about this therapy but have a friend whose parent and siblings died of some obscure cancer and he got it about 10 years ago
Goes overseas and gets pumped full of stem cells and and goes through some blood purification process every couple months
Has kept him healthy and cancer in remission but i know he is probably spending $500,000 a year or more on the treatments. Better than dying if you can afford it
I have had prolo injections in my Achilles Heel for Tendinitis and in my lower back. I cannot tell you just how much a difference it has made. It really helped me. Am I absolutely pain free all the time? No. But, both my heel and my back are so much better!
Stem cell therapy is working for other parts of the body. All I can say is it seems to do well at regenerating the tissue, and there doesnt seem to be any downside. You pay, so its probably closer to real science than insurance-led middleman medicine.
Ive heard a million times about exercise saving people from knee surgery. I believe it.
And the stem cell tissue injection Ive seen has been to assist skin regeneration after skin grafting. It really seems to work. It is pricy and might not last forever.
Nothing you can take orally or even via injection can regrow the cartilage that is the Meniscus. From what I have read there are some implants that can be done but I have not followed up regarding the efficacy.
Neither of my knees had any cartilage left so the bones were also damaged and I had both knees totally replaced. Best thing ever as I can do almost everything I could when my knees were still good, although my Orthopedic Surgeon said if he ever caught me running long distances and Marathons again he would remove my new knees.
never heard of it, but will Google
Careful... Dr. Wallach is not a medical doctor. He’s a veterinarian. Do a search on his name. I would not trust any recommendation he makes.
I had this done about three years ago. I have full knee replacement done on my right knee and a partial one on my left knee. The left knee got to hurting and I went to my knee surgeon and was about to have another operation done. My Rheumatologist suggested I try the cell replacement injection and so I did. It took me about 2 months to really feel the difference, but it has been a wonderful thing. No surgery was needed! Check some more on it, but I truly think it is the best thing since sliced bread!
Reading the reply’s suggest that you don’t know what it’s about. They take your own blood and process it to get the cells out and then replace the cell portion of your own blood by shots back into your knee.
I have been following joint replacement with gene thereapy for about ten years. There was a spot out in Denver that was pioneering it. Out of my price range, and at the time they were only doing elbows and fingers.
This is the future.
Interesting...and best of luck. I hope whatever knee pain he is experiencing can be resolved.
Yes I have researched it and it is highly successful.
Had a friend who had one knee done, she limped around in pain and now jogs pain free.
Check out who is doing it, better to travel and pay a little more to get a dr with lots of experience in doing these.
I unfortunately have no cartilage left in either knee and can’t get it done....how I wish I could!
Thanks for everyone’s input - much more research is due!
If you do NOT have a defective or broken hip joint, you should try exercise first. If you are in no shape to begin a gentle exercise program then you have little choice except surgery to replace the joint.
When I retired at age 60, my hip joint was the first to give me occasional pain. My job gave me no time for good exercise. When I retired, I took up full time golf, walked the course 3 times every week (6 miles each round), and within a few months, my hip joint pain was gone for good!
I am referring to the procedure where they take some of your own stem cells and multiply them in the lab and then inject them into your cartilage that is worn from arthritis and the stem cells grow into cartilage cells...thus new cartilage.
Yes yes yes .... I would limp to the next state if I had any cartilage left. I have read lots of patient testimonials but how it has dramatically changed their lives. My friend jogs with her dog now, she could barely limp to next room before this procedure.
Just find the best experienced Dr.

My wife had the same experience. She did and still does a lot of yoga and tried all of the phony injections before surgery with no luck. The replacements worked perfectly and she is now stronger and better than ever. I would avoid all of these stem cell products until there is better documented proof of their effectiveness.

Some clinics advertise stem cell therapy but can be a sham.
This clinic does it correctly. Be sure whomever you go with uses the same method.
