Out of Africa: 90,000-Year-Old Human Finger Points to Much Earlier Migration
Newsweek, a.k.a. something insubstantial to complain about ^ | April 9, 2018 | Katherine Hignett

Researchers have directly dated the earliest-ever fossil from an anatomically modern human found outside of Africa and the Levant. This 90,000-year-old fossilized finger rewrites traditional theories of early migration, beating expectations by some 25,000 years. Homo sapiens, the team thinks, were exploring what was once the wet grassland of Saudi Arabia far earlier than previously thought. Humans may not have left Africa in one big wave, but in a series of trickles... Extensive testing at institutions around the world revealed not only was this the finger bone of a modern human, but it was also the oldest directly dated Homo sapiens fossil ever found outside of Africa and the Levant. Researchers dated the fossil between 85,000 and 90,000 years old, which is up to 25,000 years earlier than expected for this region. The Levant historically refers to countries along the eastern shores of the Mediterranean sea, including modern-day Israel, where a number of important ancient discoveries have been made. Earlier this year, for example, scientists estimated that a Homo sapiens jaw from the country was up to 200,000 years old -- the oldest ever discovered outside of Africa.

Obviously it isn’tany such thing, since when settlers arrived on this continent everyone they encountered here came from Indian nations without written languages.

... no genetic proof substantiating an African precedence in the Homo sapien tree, and maintain that “a more plausible interpretation might have been that both current Africans and non-Africans descended separately from a more ancient common ancestor, thus forming a proverbial fork”.

Out of Africa theory is not dead (yet), but it resembles Rocky Balboa taking punch after punch round after round over the last 10 years or so. Will it make a cinematic last round comeback and prove itself, or will it be dealt a knockout punch in the near future?

that is well actually...impossible God created ALL the races (black, white ect..) in their different lands, and THEN he created Adam and Eve, and IF you will read the story of Noah, you will find that God said to save two of EVERY flesh, He wasn’t just talking about animals.

The popular theory is multiple outmigrations. Although the “current” oldest hominid fossil discoveries were in Greece and Bulgaria, ie Graecopithecus.

A species is often defined as the largest group of organisms in which two individuals can produce fertile offspring, typically by sexual reproduction.

Different human beings, whether Aboriginal Australians, Irish, Finnish, Khoi-San, Eskimo etc. can sexually reproduce with each other with no issue at all.

We are not separate species or even sub-species

Neanderthals were, in my opinion a sub-species on teh border of becoming a separate species (the later "on the border" is speculation) as non-sub-saharan African populations DID interbreed with homo neanderthalis

But no, a person from Ghana is not a separate species or even sub-species from a person from the Shetland islands.

The time when humans migrated out of Africa was never “settled science” - there was alwasy speculation that people moved in and out - after all, there was no real barrier separating the two land masses

That’s a facetious remark to a statement that had meaning a century ago. We’re all out of africa but dating back thousands of years ago. Raparations for slavery made sense for the years 1857-early 1900s for the generation that grew up as slaves. The fact is that some didn’t get this, due to Jim Crow laws etc. But the fact is also that it is multiple generations since the last slave in the USA, so reparations have no meaning now, especially since the public has intermixed so much (there are people who have slaves as well as slave owners as their ancestors, what to do about them? Or even people whose ancestors were poor serfs in Russia or Sweden at the time of the civil war)

The average height of Masai males is 6'3" and females is 5'10" -- no "close to 7'). Mandinka are shorter - average height below 6'

Pliny the Elder wrote fiction about "Aethiopia" - which was shorthand for anyplace south of Egypt. There weren't people 12' tall.

Pygmies - average height around 4'6" among males

But that's not a species differentiation -- there's huge height variation between Nederlanden and Sicilians, but are they of different species? No.

Or between a yorkie and a Great dane, but they're the same species, Canis lupus familiaris

Humans are “one kind” - not homogenous - even among South Koreans or Masai there are significant variations.
