the presence of a gene or two pales in comparison to not accepting who one is... i can be a person who likes to arrange flowers but has a penis, a person that loves to field dress a deer, and where a dress. the problem i see is the mental dysfunction of not being happing with what one is born with and the need to change with a heavy regiment of drugs.

So technically they are sick. It is a genetic disease. Can we do prenatal testing of the parents to see if they carry the genetic abnormalities? If so we could eradicate the condition through genetic counseling. Or maybe we could do in vitro testing and if the genetic deformity is found we could just abort the child like many on the Left think we should do with Downs Syndrome babies?
We've heard similar crap about a "gay" gene, and of course they refrain from telling people that the chief researcher looking for this "gay" gene is a homosexual who desperately wants to prove that there is a scientific basis for his abnormality.
I should not be surprised to discover that the people claiming to find these "transgender" genes were in fact intently looking for any evidence that they could twist into supporting this claim.
They do the same thing with History, declaring all sorts of famous people were "gay". They are desperately seeking anything that could be used to argue that they are normal.

First causality is not necessarily implied by a correlation.
Secondly even if it were, this only goes to prove the point even more that “transgenderism” is a mental disease, and thus shouldn’t be placated but rather treated with mental help. Not an operation to indulge the fantasy.
Bottom line it’s just like saying “I’m predisposed to alcoholism because of my genes so I should just be allowed to drink all I want even at work even while driving”. No, you have a disease and need to seek professional help.
