It appears you are thinking that people Voted for Donald Trump because of who he is, not the issues he Campaigned on.
If he ran as a Democrat with the same Platform, he wouldn’t have been invited to the Democrat Debate Stage.
Heck, the Rats in CA are trying to get rid of Gun Grabbing Feinstein because she isn’t enough of a Communist for them.

Both professional politicians, both came up through corrupt political machines. Kennedy: one run by his father & J. Michael Curley, Truman: one run by James Pendergast.

He would have won the Democrat nomination and then beaten Jeb Bush in the general election.
The reason I say Jeb Bush is because he was the Republican counterpart of Hillary Clinton.
As long as he supported fetus killing, homosexual perversity of the day, and taxing and spending.. he would be a hero to the left, possibly even eclipsing Bill Clinton.
Pure conservatives and libertarians can’t name ONE important legislation they have been able to pass to further their pure/libertarian agenda in 100 years.

I don’t see much difference between 1950 1960 Democrats and Republicans these days. The democrats have gone full on anti America and socialists. Republicans have gone centrist. True conservatives are out in the cold. After 40 years of socialist indoctrination in the school system not many conservatives are left honestly. Everything and I mean everything is up for FedGov to fix. Is Trump a originality? Is he hat could win? Was he the best of our choices? Was he the least of the evil presented? Lots of different questions?
I hope he is what was needed to lead us back to the rugged American individualism that made us a great nation,

Really strange how his kids didn't change their registrations so they could vote, what was it, the primaries? That ought to tell you something. Like maybe he had been thinking about it for a long time but made a rather sudden decision. I wonder what the tipping point was?
I don't think he anticipated what a horror show was in store for him. All hell broke loose in a manner few humans have had to endure.
Even if his stated positions on the same issues were identical , I would have been intrigued with his Champaign. But his ability to land the democratic nomination would have cast doubt upon his credibility.
It would have been extremely unlikely that I would have vited for him.
Actually, Scott Adams, who of course predicted that Trump would become President in August 2015, also thinks that he could’ve won as a Democrat. You have to just imagine the positions he was committed to probably prior to his getting involved with Obama’s birth certificate and then imagine that he went left from there.
