Sometimes it seems as if the worlds generous and helpful people have done a disappearing act.
These photographs of acts of kindness and cute scenarios from around the world serve as a reminder that theyre actually all still out there.
Theres the passer-by who put an umbrella in the open sunroof of a strangers car to protect it from the rain, for example, and the high school student who bought Vans trainers for the kids in his school who need special assistance.
And your heart will leap when you see the letter some school children wrote to their city council to build a gingerbread community and the reply they got granting them permission on the condition the houses are cute and delicious.
Equally adorable is the picture of a small dog curling up with a hot water bottle that his owner gave him.

But when it occurs to you, you will be. It’s always looking forward. Never back.
PING
Nice post, thanks.
We hear and see so much crap everyday that we forget there really are some decent folks around us as well.
Like the saying goes... Life’s not about running from the storm, it’s about learning how to dance in the rain.
I especially like the one with the winter coats, “take one, leave one”.
As a Christian we must believe that one can make a greater difference with one small act of kindness that with a truck load of money or a plane load of bombs.
I know this is a hard lesson, but it is one we must strive to learn.
I shouldn’t post with tears in my eyes
Well, I’d have to say that one can be kind in all of those ways. When we bomb to save a village from extremists, I’m all for it. And money to the right charities, many of them religious, will go to the people who need it. And a small act of klndness can make a person think, and that can affect their future actions. The average person can’t bomb or give much, but they can make their immediate world better, and that can spread quickly like a fire spreading.
I hope someone is nearby to kiss your cheeks dry.
I purposely stay away from situations that are miserable and try to surround myself with the people who could help me be better.
I don’t know about dancing in the rain, but I remember sharing an umbrella with my mother and just walking and enjoying the sound of the rain on the cloth. It’s those simple things that seem so precious.
Posts like this make me feel guilty. In a good way though, because they move me to improve upon the love shared with my by Christ.
Thanks for the ping mairdie. :)
Thank you for the ping. I accidentally thanked mairdie for pinging me, but I’m sure you understand.
It is good to be reminded that we can all improve upon our kindness to strangers.
Sharing the love Christ shared with us.
Isn’t an auto’s sunroof supposed to close when the ignition is turned off and the key removed? Mine does.
I guarantee you that all don’t. You don’t want to hear my husband explaining to me why I should have closed the rooftop several days after the rainstorm. It still smells musty.
And besides, it’s just nice to be decent to other people.
Nice.
It would be my luck that the umbrella-car-owner would also be calzone-pizzeria-tip-jar-owner. “Hey, you steal-a my car?” “No, I was just...” “I see what you do!”
That was SO funny!
