ESPNs presentation of the epic College Football Playoff National Championship between Georgia and Alabama (Jan. 8 at 8 p.m.) delivered a massive 16.7 overnight on its Nielsen-rated networks (ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU) as part of its MegaCast production, up 9% from last seasons thrilling College Football Playoff National Championship on the same three Nielsen-rated networks. They used to play super bowl champs and college all stars
And the all stars did manage a few wins
They were ranked briefly
Only ranked team beside auburn UCF played all year I think...
“the Patriots should have been given the Lombardi trophy in 2007,” NOT 2011
Roll Tide Roll. It is better to be feared than loved. Go on and look for conspiracies and what ever. The trophy will reside in it’s proper place, Tuscaloosa.
Yes at the end of the. Season after auburn had weathered the SEC all year
UCF played nobody else all year
If they want to step up enhance their schedule or leave their conference
Somebody will take them. ACC maybe
They are in Orlando
Pretty big home market they could try the Norte dame route
Used to work for FSU
Or they could fill non conference games with red meat teams
Well it’s not so much that it was amazing he pulled Hurts out of the game, but more that having done so the entire offense was ready to run a completely different set of plays for a QB with a completely different skill set. Tua Tagoetcetera certainly made some mistakes, but it was impressive how ready he was and clearly he was able to exploit weaknesses in the Georgia secondary that Hurts could not.
ESPN assumed Oklahoma would handle Georgia with no problems. The game they wanted was Oklahoma versus Alabama. The CFP committee was horrified that Georgia won that game.
It was a quality football game. No slop. Georgia never trailed in the entire game until the last play in overtime ended.
Massive battles every play. Lights out performances.
Really, the surprise was that Alabama’s beaten up defense managed to rise up for one last game against a quality offense. Did you see Fruum hand-flip the ball when he would drop back in the pocket before he threw?!
The Big 10 went 7-1 in bowl games
Not only that, they had no loses in the National Championship.
The SEC had 1 loss in the National Championship. I think its clear that the Big 10 is superior.
And this:
And, Hillary! Won the Popular Vote.
The whole country tuned in to watch Alabama lose. Joke’s on them! Really tired of all the Bama bashing.
Roll Tide!
I make no bones about it, I like Saban, I think he’s a decent human being, although of course to be as successful as he’s been, sometimes you have to be a jerk, or at least give off that appearance.
One thing that really told me a lot about Saban the man, came after Alabama beat Arkansas. The first thing he did after the game was to go up to an Arkansas player, who just lost his father, and consoled him, since Saban lost his father at a relatively young age.
He demands perfection, and I think most of the kids he coaches will be better men for having played for him (though of course there will be exceptions).
ROTFLMAO!
With that kind of thinking dont try coaching football or betting on it.
Actually at the end of 9 innings in Game 7, the Indians had a one-run advantage for the series, so they should have been declared the winner right there.
Yes that mysterious thing at work is ESPN and SEC $2.5Billion partnership.
Georgia needed more Michel, less Chubb.
Chubb is a nice running back, but Michel is a game changer.
Rude Awakenings.
Right they aren’t one of the top 4...they are the #1 team.
Meaningless games, though.
Don’t worry. Your time will come, and I’m sure you’ll enjoy it as much as I am enjoying it today. Remember 1966
Huh? You must mistake me for an SEC fan.
