Donald Trumps former chief strategist Steve Bannon has described the Trump Tower meeting between the presidents son and a group of Russians during the 2016 election campaign as treasonous and unpatriotic, according to an explosive new book seen by the Guardian.
Trump-Russia investigation: the key questions answered Read more Bannon, speaking to author Michael Wolff, warned that the investigation into alleged collusion with the Kremlin will focus on money laundering and predicted: Theyre going to crack Don Junior like an egg on national TV.
Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House, reportedly based on more than 200 interviews with the president, his inner circle and players in and around the administration, is one of the most eagerly awaited political books of the year. In it, Wolff lifts the lid on a White House lurching from crisis to crisis amid internecine warfare, with even some of Trumps closest allies expressing contempt for him.

What I should have said that the book’s explosive headlines are to get Wolf on various shows. I think the left will love the book, but nothing will come of it.
My attitude is, so he thinks it was treasonous, so what. Last I checked, Mr. Bannon is not in any official position. If he can do us some good, great, if not, sayonara!
“WTF!?”
My exact reaction.
If Roger Stone recognizes the coup that put Obama in power, then he’s not near as crazy as you call him.
Maybe that’s why he was poisoned. It’s why my family was poisoned. Most of the “patriotic” talk people do can be tolerated by the deep state and its owners, but when the really critical stuff is in danger of being exposed - and especially if it is actionable - voices have to be snuffed.
Breitbart is giving the Wolfe claim prominent placement. Guess who runs Breitbart.
I was just reading a book (I Am Charlotte Simmons, by Tom Wolfe) where he points out that the way the progressives create power is by supporting each others causes, no matter how ludicrous, as long as they all are aimed at destroying Christian values and culture.
If Bannon said it at all I would be unhappy with Bannon not Trump.
It occurs to me that Bannon and Trump may be working together to send the MSM into a frenzy...knowing in advance that the OIG’s report will smoke them into an ash heap.....If this gins them up, then they look even that less credible once Horowitz comes out with his report.
I sure hope I am right...we’ll see.
This book has Steve Bannon quotes, has it been confirmed he actually said these things?
Bannon didn’t say this in a book.
Wolfe says that Bannon said it.
He may have said it artlessly, but his point is a good one. They ought to have let some other cutout meet with the Russian, and then dump any information to the internet to be picked up by the press. That way, if there was any good information there, Trump’s fingerprints would not be on it.
Now, Clinton tried to do the same, letting her lawyers pay Fusion to pay the Russians (if we believe the Russians actually had anything to do with the Dossier...) I notice, though, that the press is entirely uninterested in actual cases of collusion. Clinton, Obama, Russians, Fusion, Joule, Podesta Group, Uranium One, the Foundation, FBI and Justice, a big incestuous group colluding and conspiring, with money and favors flowing back and forth.
Check the Breitbart news site. The confirmation was the second story from the top ~10 minutes ago.
In other words, you jump to believe any jackleg that walks in off the street.
Have to wait and see ass media is not reliable.
Right!
Find the truth and spread it!
But it isn’t treason to meet with foreigners in the course of a campaign. Bannon is getting unhinged again. Unhelpful.
> Bannon should issue a correction today. <
Very good suggestion. And if he doesn’t, that will tell us a lot.
There are one or two posters that keep up a daily negative drumbeat against Trump. They appear to crave attention.
What a skid
Bannon did one better. He issued a confirmation. It’s near the top of the Breitbart news site.
